The Rogue Trooper Strikes!
The Rogue Trooper is a classic character from British comic 2000AD.
About this creation
Nu-Earth: a planet ravaged by war, its atmosphere poisoned by chemical weapons. In this battle ground between the Norts and the Southers only the Genetic Infantrymen can survive. The Rogue Trooper is one such soldier, created by the Southers to be able to thrive in Nu-Earthís hostile and toxic environment. He is the sole surviving GI of the military disaster known as the Quartz Zone Massacre and now he hunts the traitorous Souther General who caused it. With him are the memory implants of three of his dead comrades, Helm, Gunnar and Bagman, who are installed in his helmet, rifle and bag, and who through their integration with his equipment, offer Rogue a further edge over his Nort enemies.

The Rogue Trooper Strikes!

Rogue Trooper was created by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons and first appeared in the British Science Fiction comic 2000AD (home of Judge Dredd). The series was hailed for its excellent artwork thanks to the craftsmanship of Gibbons and other artists such as Cam Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Brett Ewins. The character now belongs to game developers, Rebellion.

You can read the first ever strip on the BBCís website: here.

You may be able to tell that this is a little different to my usual MOCs, but I was encouraged to make it by the competition over at the Lego War Group over on Flickr. Anyway, itís always good to step outside of oneís comfort zone every once in a while, and Iíve always had a soft spot for the Rogue Trooper.

Quoting BrickBuilder7622 . Whoa, this is a sweet build, Macsen! I like everything you have in this build, from the awesome smoke effects on the ground, to the way you have the minifigures stopped in their motion. This MOC has a really nice cleaned, finished look to it. Overall a great build! 5/5! :-)
Thank you! This one was all about the minifigure posing for me - glad you like it!

Quoting Justin L. Very nice build. The contrast between the rough, barren earth and the smooth, fancy trench is great.
Thanks very much, Justin!

Quoting Gerald F. Pretty sweet battle scene!! I actually took some time to read the strips and I would continue if it wasn't past midnight here, haha! Love all the details and popping action all around! Keep On Brickin'!
Thanks Gerald, I hope you liked the strips. If you do, all the originals are now available as graphic novels and are well worth picking up. I think they're also quite cheap if you buy them as used. At least they are in the UK.

Quoting Ranger Elegost Wow, even in a totally different Genre to Ancient Romans, you still perfectly create this amazing build :D Brilliant Work :)
Thanks! Yea, it's a bit different to the Romans, but still a lot of fun. I think I will be going back to history for my next MOC though... though perhaps not as far back as ancient Rome. We'll see!
