I designed this model initially as a fun build, but decided to submit it to Lego Ideas. It is made with over 750 bricks, and sized at approximately a 7/10 scale. It includes all the features of a real guitar, such as the body, neck, tuning keys, six strings, neck strap, and resonance chamber. Here is a close-up picture of the tuning keys:

What about color variety? Here it is! This shows what the instrument would look like in three separate color schemes!
Click here to visit my picture stash, with a few enlarged versions. I plan to upload more pictures here in the future, so stay tuned!
Please leave a comment or suggestion on what I can improve! Also, if you would like to see it in a different color scheme, mention it and I'll try to make it happen!

Excellent all the way around -- body sculpture, tuners, strings, frets, bridge. Must be a fellow guitar player.
Why, thank you, Jeremy! From a guitar player, that is quite a compliment. I did play at one time and have two in the house which I used as models, but I am no longer current. I do still like the instrument, though!
Thank you! That color scheme is actually my favorite too. I have considered for quite a while about adding an update to make this project a two-in-one crossed with an electric. Glad to see someone else likes the idea! Thanks for your feedback!
