About this creation
My third entry in the 2014 MocOlympics, for the category "Forced Perspective" in bracket four, facing the man of mystery Ben Merrill.

For this round I chose to depict a proposal, using forced perspective to add to the sense of vastness of the scenery.

The waterfall and mountainside form the background.

The river was built in a funnel shape to accentuate the idea of distance, and the trees get smaller as they get farther away as well.

As I'm actually not cutting it close to the deadline this time, I'd like to thank the judges for their time and effort - fortunately you've hit the home stretch past this round. Thanks also to Ben Merrill for providing the impetus to push myself to build better, best of luck!

Quoting Ian Spacek Bringing some romance to the floor, huh? The subject can be a bit of a...forced perspective...when it comes to Lego nerds, but you've done it quite tastefully. ;)
Heh, what can I say? Nothing like 24 karat gold to get the heart pumping. ;)

Quoting Ben Merrill Well done, Luke! Congratulations on winning this round. I do, however, now have high expectations for you to win the whole MocOlympics as last year when I lost in round 3 it was to Nick.
Thanks Ben, it was a pleasure competing against you. I'm up against some tough competition, but I'll do my best. ;)

Thanks Zabou, nice to see you're still around! Fitting that you'd comment on a marriage themed build.

Thanks Tom, I think the angles are a tad off but I'm glad it's still understandable.

Quoting David Roberts I like a couple of the techniques that you've used to achieve this. The curved pieces to make the lady's seated skirt are so neat and the tress from upside down flower stems are really clever. I think your build looks great, so good luck with the judges.
Thanks David, always great to hear from you.
