..... Decepticon City Transform into ...
About this creation
Here is Part 3 of my Epic Youtube 2014 Fan's choice build - G1 Decepticon City - Trypticon! This is his robot / dino mode. In this mode from tail to snout he is 34inches long and from floor to head 24 inches tall due to his inclined position. It is very close to the G1 incarnation in both look and transformation - except my version, like my Metroplex is huge when compared to the original G1 toy.

In case you missed it here is City Mode

and Battle Station Mode Enjoy!

This model fully transforms from Decepticon City to Battle Station to Dinosaur/ Robot! Watch the Youtube Part 3 Vid for more info on this huge legoformer!

I've never seen this guy before. He's massive. You must be close to the Max tolerances of the bricks with this piece. The sheer scale is impressive. Must of been a lot of work. Great stuff.

Thanks, See my response to Stuart.
Quoting Simon Kicks Wow!!!! As always Chris, you're work is a testament of why you are one of the best Legoformer builders on the web. Love you're take on Trypticon, all 3 modes are faithful to the original G1 Toy. I must admit that I am curious as to how you overcame the problem of the weight of the moc on the hip joints.....that must have been a headache. :s Take it easy, keep em coming. :D

Originally the joints were like Metroplex's hips but they could not hold the weight due to his body angle so I made them stationary!
Quoting Stuart Lucas Huge and really looks the part! Congratulations again for pulling off another huge project with style. Did you manage to give him any flexibility in the hip joints (I'm guessing not at this size/weight)? If you did I'd love to know how! Time to go and stomp on some mini-autobots...

Plex is packed and crated for two events one in NOV and one in DEC. So may have to wait till the new year before a pic can be had. Maybe I'll line up all my titans and combiners for a shot then! Hmmmm!
Quoting Raymond Drum Wow, that turned out great! Not that I doubted it would have but, still... Would love to see a photo with him and Metroplex squaring off. :)

Transforms pretty much like the original toy! no surprises!
Quoting Scott Bourgeois Truly magnificent. Too bad we can't see it transform - but two people to coordinate that effort - Trypticon must weigh a lot. :) Anyway, I think ALL his modes are cool. AWESOME build, Chris!

Finally, we get to see Dino mode! Getting something of this size to work properly is a real technical achievement. An incredible feat of Lego engineering, and of course one fine looking 'former. Excellent work indeed!
