M.O. Round 4: Kevin Moyer vs. Vladimir van Hoek
About this creation
I am in bracket 2: Dennis Price, Tyler Halliwell, and Nick Barrett.

Our category: "And I'd Have Gotten Away With It... Build the final scene from a Scooby Doo cartoon. It can be an actual episode or your own storyline."

I chose to do the end of Season 1, Episode 3: "Hassle in the Castle." You can watch the episode here.

Ugh. This was...fun. I had a really busy week, and as a result, I had practically nothing done before this weekend. On Saturday, I built three figures. Today (Sunday), I built every stinkin' thing else. The other three figs and the backdrop. Nonetheless, I'm pretty satisfied with the end result.

Good luck to my opponent, and to the judges (because some of the matchups this round look pretty close).

Comments and constructive criticism appreciated!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Really nicely composed scene here, and as others have said both the figures and background are excellent. You bow out with full honours, and I hope we'll see you in the mix again next year!

Fantastic work, Kevin! The figures are very, very good and I really like the background. Thanks for competing! Hopefully, you'll compete again next year!

It seems your opponent has already progressed, and in truth I too would have given him my vote due to the sheer ingenuity of his build, I have to commend how wonderful your figures are. I hope to see you next year, as you put up a great fight throughout the games. Thanks for playing.

Quoting Dennis Price I'm sorry, but your opponent gets the vote. Your figures are very well done, and you used a great episode as your model, but Vlads detail won the day. Be proud, young warrior! You pulled together a solid build rather than take a no show.
Thank you for the compliments! I respect your decision (even though I don't really like it, of course :D ) and thank you for the time you've put into judging.

This would be a hard match-up, but I think your build looks more like Scooby-Doo than his... Just my thoughts. (Again.)

Quoting Nick Barret The figures, the backdrop... this is a very high quality build. However, for his more complete scene and the movement he's built in, Vladimir gets my vote. It was close, though. Good luck with the other judges.
Thank you. I appreciate the thought you put into it.
Quoting Vladimir van Hoek Very well done! How did you make that flame light up? Is there a lightbrick behind it or something?
Thank you! You got it, I used a light brick.

Lovely, instantly recognisable figs and a smart back-drop. Really evokes that moment in nearly every episode of the show (and trust me, I have seen a lot over the years and more now with kids....) and doubly impressive considering your abbreviated build time. Well done and good luck!

Awesome! I really like the figs, especially Scooby! For having only 2 days of building time, you did great! Good luck!
