Toyota Gt-86
Otherwise known as the Sciobaruyota by scientists.
About this creation

Wait, what? Oh gosh, no! This is not what you're getting to see. No, move along. Back-up. This is not the Toyota you're looking for! No nonononononono!

I know I hardly post to MocPages anymore, but it was my 6 year "MocAversary"... 28 days ago. And I have more plasticy bits to dangle in front of you all.

I can't believe I'm using words like MocAverasry... I told myself I never would. :|

More to the point, here. Have a ZN6 to look at while I amuse you with the plethora of different names this car has.

Toyota Gt-86

Scion Fr-S

Subaru Br-Z

Herbert... possibly.

Er... nevermind Herbert for now. I should probably focus. But you see, I never get to add so many captions on Flickr. All my imagination juices are pouring out at once... That's a bizarre and mildly gross metaphor, so just pretend this was written by a pitcher of lemonade. If that doesn't work-

Here's a novel idea, I'll just say how difficult shaping the rear was. I had a pretty good idea of how to make the taillights, though.

The whole thing was pretty painful to make, with the front taking center stage in the complicated-department.

This is the engine. It's made of Lego and stuff. Soon to be removed and replaced with a 1UR-FSE. Or a 20B, but the the 20B really didn't want to fit when I tried it earlier today. :\

On the plus side, this has ended up being on of the best cars to customize. It's incredibly easy to work on, all things considered. I haven't pulled of something like that since my old RX7 Fb. My apologies if that was never posted here and you all have no idea what I'm on about.

*Insert ramblings of an old lunatic here*

If you really like the car, you can go support it on Lego Ideas.

And at this point I'll just drop all the technical specs at once. It's got full independent suspension all around, and steering at the front. Everything Opens. It rolls properly. I dropped it on it's lid today and it barely had a dent.

It's even got this spacious, but mildly unfinished boot!

Hey kids! Like doors? Great! This has two of 'em.

And one more for prosperity.

And in classic Chinchilla fashion, the interior sort of looks like the real thing, but isn't winning anybody's heart.

It has a glovebox, mind you. I think we can all agree on the importance of this, and with that in mind....

... I'm moving on to the seats. Which are jammin'.

Thanks for visiting

Super thanks if you supported the project!

Ultra thanks if you're still reading this malarkey.

Quoting colby james got a corvette c7 posted this size and color, was just wondering why you switched to flickr, im thinking about using that also, was just wondering why its better. and are your 3d printed wheels 6.25 each, or is that for 4.
Hi Colby. Sorry it took me so long to respond, I hardly come back to MocPages anymore. Unfortunately 3D is printing is jolly expensive and the price is 6.25 per wheel. Not to mention you still need to paint them. I've only bought 3 for myself, one for testing out and a set of 2 for display on a car. (You can only see the one side of the car at a time, right?) The fit was a bit iffy but for displaying they work well.

I've never used the term 'Mociversary' either... until just now. Doesn't exactly trip off the tongue does it ? Still, yes, right. The car. It's a piece of art. It cries out for RC'ing and drifting around the kitchen in fine skinny-tyred style. Superb build.

(to me, it's an FR-S/BR-Z/GT-86. never a "Herbert" -.-) whoa i never expected to see a Suboyoscio-boxer-whats-it in LEGO! actually this car is pretty cool and your rendition of it looks sharp! i want to ask because it looks like it... was this a pain to sculpt out of LEGO? and i can't wait for the modified drift-track-touge-street-lowrider-limo-tuned-car-mag versions ;D

I love the care with which you craft the package that surrounds your glove boxes. The detailed engine, wonderfully curved roof, neat seats and various stud offsets & angles on the bodywork all help to draw the viewer's eye to the dashboard and the glove box therein. Already supported on Ideas. Perhaps this could be the start of a new Model Team line for TLG?

Haven't had a healthy dose of Chinchilla in quite some time. Beauty of a Toysubion, love the arch of the roof. Still awaiting that Trueno however. ;) And, happy mociversary, MP just would never be what it is without the Senator. Awesome!
