About this creation
Original Halo Theme - Play it!

So, one giant leap for me in that I've hopped on the bandwagon for making a Halo ship, and not just any, but the Pillar of Autumn. I've looked at a few of the MOC's on this site and liked what I saw, but last night had a cool idea for how to mount the centre of the ship and achieve the angles required. I am hoping that this build skyrockets me into stardom (a dream we all share, i know...), but at the very least am happy to take something that has been well done, and try it a different way because that is the beauty of Lego bricks! I look forward to your feedback and to making more Halo MOC's in the future.

P.s. The second not-so-giant leap was that I got off my lazy but and photoshopped a background for the main pic. Drew the Halo ring myself in like 1 minute, so like it!

Quoting Jason Monson How did you work the inner pieces? I figured out the side armor, bridge head, and engine sections, but I can't hold them together in any of my combinations. Could you take some pictures of the ship without the 2x4 flats of one side?
Hi Jason, apologies for not responding sooner. Due to the laptop with my construction photos being dead, I'll just ask for a bit of time and would love to rebuild it and post new pics detailing the steps to build. Thanks for the interest! Be in touch. Edit Feb 5, Hi Jason. Scrounging through my box of Lego I found all the other UNSC ships but the pillar is MIA. I'll keep searching for it and try to retrieve my old laptop photos and we'll see which turns out a result for you first. Best as I can remember though, the upper 2x4 is attached to a rotating 1x2 brick, which sits on top-middle studs of the lower 2x4. The studs on either side had a 1x1 claw plate that clipped onto an antenna piece, like the ones I used to construct the stands. The 'bottom' of the antenna sticks forward, and the round tip is inserted into a snot brick at the engine area. Exactly how I'll need to reconstruct to remember... Hope that helps!

Could you list the steps for construction? It's cool enough that I would like to make a couple for my own collection.

Could you post the steps of construction, I'd like to see them and either build a couple for my own collection, or possibly improve and/or provide some suggestions.

Quoting Indy Beetle The engines are bit disproportionate but you shaped the front very well for the scale you were using. Good to see halo builders out there!
Thanks for the feedback! I did include 'v1' in the title since I'm going to play around with different configurations of pieces to get that 'right' look. :)
