Republic Stronghold
This is by far, my biggest MOC yet. I have always built with Legos but it was not until recently that I decided to join the MOC pages and I decided that something must be made in honor of the occasion. So far this is the only build that I have done specifically for MOC. Surprisingly this huge 48 x 48 bunker only took me a combined 7 and a half hours to plan and construct. I have no idea how many pieces there are, I would just say "a lot," anyways I hope you like this and please give me some feedback. This is my first big creation and I would really like to know how to improve it if I were to do something like this again.
About this creation

Here is an overall shot. You will have to tell me what you think of the bunker design. I like to think of it as simple but cool.

Top view so you can see the layout a little better.

The blast doors. They can be opened and closed by a knob on the top through a pretty simple gear mechanism.

Here is my tri-turret. It can spin a full 360 and has about 40 degrees of movement up and down.

This is my basic machine turret. The ammo chain is made from simple technic chains. this is one of my favorite techniques but it can sometimes be difficult to attach it to normal bricks.

Here is a secret little cave on the side of the bunker. I saw a bunch of people on MOC doing things like this so I decided to try it out for myself.

Side of the bunker.

Other side of the bunker.

Here we have the inside of the bunker. Mainly for storage but it has a decent tactician station just in case of attack.

Close up of Admiral Kii

Here is the holo projector, a difficult design indeed. Holo projectors if you actually look at them in starwars are very simple and when you translate that to lego, it looks entirely underwhelming. I struggled to find a design that looked cool but was not overly elaborate so I chose a triangle (I was going to make a square but I lost my other giant window piece).

This is the other side of the bunker, basically just more storage and a few probe droids.

Here is the blast doors from the inside and the stairs. Believe it or not, these stairs took forever to design. Stairs are so simple and if you get to complex then they really aren't stairs anymore but you still want it to look futuristic. This is the best "futuristic staircase" I could come up with, if you have a cooler design I would love to see it but until then I will just have to make do with these stairs.

Just a few crates and a weapons rack. I had trouble filling in the space of the bunker because really, what goes inside a bunker?

Here is the build without any figures so you can see the landscape and architecture of the bunker without any distractions.

These are just close ups of the beach and rock work. I was really proud of these rocks but then I went on MOC and saw these awesome rocks that look insanely natural and mine suddenly looked a lot worse, so this is to any experienced rock worker, could you please leave a comment with a few tips on how to improve my landscape.

As always, thanks for viewing. Please give me some feedback so I can improve my next big creation and be sure to check out my other builds.
