"Scratch One Flat Top"
The model is displayed re-colored in "black & white" monochrome for vintage wartime photograph effect. The "swiss cheese" dive brakes are open and the bomb has just been released from the trapeze beneath the aircraft on a direct trajectory for the deck of the Hiryu. Model rendered in POV-Ray and composited in Gimp.
About this creation

Great idea! This is a really nice job of compositing a render with some real-world imagery to create a dynamic scene.

Quoting Michael K. Awesome! Is it inspired by this image? http://www.military-art.com/mall/images/stk0099.jpg
Nope, just looked for an appropriate photograph of one of the IJN carriers being attack during the Battle Of Midway and built the scene around it. Awesome artwork though!
