About this creation
Nnovvember has rolled around again and I actually have something to post in the correct month. A couple I've never tried before with this build. First off, the coloring. I've never used dk bley as a base color. I know what you're thinking, but go ahead, look at my history. Not a single one. I also tried some new techniques with the wings. There is a builder named Nick Trotta who posts on Flickr, and I have to credit the inspiration for the wings to him. I still have not matched his insane skills, though.

This build is a tribute to nnenn. As I've said before, I never got to enjoy his works when they were freshly posted, but I have found that I still go to his stream to find inspiration when I can find it nowhere else. I will make my best effort to post a VV every year when Nnovvember arrives and this is my submission this year.

May I present, VV-14 Vendetta.

Let's have a look.

This build was blogged on:
The Lego Car Blog

A couple of these shots are a little awkward because of the stand, (like this one), but I included them anyway so you could get the angles of this VV.

Thanks for having a look. Let me know what you think.

Quoting Garry King Very creative design Tim... All your work is just brilliant. Well done. Keep them coming...
Thanks, Garry. I really appreciate that you keep popping in here with comments to let me know that you're still alive somewhere out there, but when can we expect another gargantuan, mind-blowingly detailed, completely unfair that someone is this good, spaceSHIP? Going through some Garry withdrawal over here! ;)

Mr. Clark, this is amazing! The yellow works surprisingly well, it gives it a nice zing! Great angles everywhere, using the sloped pieces in the forward prongs gives it some great textures! The cockpit is lovey, I love how it angles in the front! Having the extending pieces come out in the back gives it a sense that it is in motion, beautiful! And finally, the angled rear lateral wings just steal the show! They are perfect! I love how it starts very simple on the outside, and as it nears the center of the ship, it gets more detailed! Excellent work once again!

Quoting Ian Spacek I'm sure this beauty is fun to swoosh. :)
Yes, Ian. You've got it. This thing was fun to swoosh. My daughter has made a nasty habit of catching me swooshing my ships, (at least, those that can be swooshed without falling to pieces), and she caught me swooshing this one. One of the more swooshable ships I've built to date.

Quoting matt rowntRee Dark bley?!? What is this sorcery? AND yellow? Who is this fiend that has taken over Tim's account?!?!?! XD You, sir, are a crazy man what with the colors and actually getting this in on time. XDDD Oh, I kill myself. Tim, this thing is freakin' cool! Yes, including the awesome color choice. ;) I love the forward swept wings and the low profile tail. It has a heftiness as well as a sleek quality that makes this beast massively tough and maneuverable. Also love those 4x16 angled slopes, really cool for a VV. Does it come in purple? XD Delicious!
I always enjoy your insightfulness, Matt. Your comments are often wrought with intelligence and your eye can find the needle of detail in the haystack of bricks. And I see you've taken a break from that ilk of comment...XD Yes, yes, this one uses dk bley and I know, I know, a bit of yellow to boot. But, it's me, I swear;) You still pulled out the bits that stand out the most to me though. Those large slope pieces are not ones that I use very often. The largest pieces I use are usually baseplates, then it's to the small pieces, but those larger pieces just fit so well. I am in touch with my own style, so pretty much every ship I build will have that bulky feel, but I'm glad the speed angle came out for you too.

I always appreciate what you have to say, Clayton. The details on the inside of the prongs were a special favorite of mine. It took me quite a while to get that right. Thanks for the compliments, Clayton.

Boom: http://thelegocarblog.com/2014/12/02/v-bombers/ Gratz on the blogging Tim :) What a cool VV, I love the 'Trotta' technique you bravely used. Have yet to venture into that myself and it seems like it's gonna cost me some braincracking hours.. The color combo is certainly working, haven't seen that one around much. Loving the angles as well. Top notch!

Quoting Mihe Stonee first of all i have to say Sorry Tim - did you look at your posting Date ??? ;-) it's not in the correct month... (December...) But hey - what a great late entry to this year's party of VVs ! the wings are really well done in it's shape and also the dark bley is beautiful ;-)
Thanks, Mihe. I actually hit the Post button well before 12:00 and I walked out of the room. When I came back several minutes later, it was still processing. I closed the page expecting that I was going to have to repost, but the ship was on my page when I brought it up. Not sure what happened. It took me a couple seconds to notice that the date said December 1. My Flickr post is Nov. 30 and I was working that on a separate tab on my computer at the time, so they were essentially posted at the same time. Don't know what happened there, but there was definitely something glitchy about it. Oh, well. I'm still considering it a Nnovvember build.
