About this creation
My Intro for The Tourney 2015.
Team: The Vicious Chickens of Bristol.

***

I left Elias in a Rainosian library to study. He was good enough to defend himself from most people by now, and could probably even best most of the people in this town who would get the idea to attack him, so I was not worried. Plus, seeing the differences between Mythronian, Outlaw and Rainosian culture would be good for him.
I had received a letter upon my entry into Guaire inviting me into a team called the "Vicious Chickens of Bristol". Although the name was strange, the members were all highly skilled, and I had heard most of their names through rumors, so I knew it would be a good team.
I was to meet them at Max's Magics, a shop situated in a calm part of the city near the outskirts. To find this store took me a while, but in the end, it was not hard to recognize: The colorful stonework and the skull bat at the door gave it away.

I entered the store and took in the surroundings. Dead bats were on display at the walls. Also mounted on the walls were various potions. In the middle of the shop stood a table surrounded by a strange carpet. On the table was a magic globe of some kind, and next to the table sat a woman, staring at some cards. There were strange stones hanging from the ceiling, a stand with dead frogs at the wall, and another magic globe was standing in the corner along with what looked like a map, but bent in the shape of a ball. A stuffed vulture perched on a stand. A ladder rested against the wall next to the counter.
At the counter, an orc in purple was selling a yellow frog to a man clad in black.

I stepped into the room and closed the door behind me.
This store seemed more like a witchcraft store to me. Not that witchcraft was bad. To me, it was a specific branch of magic. Magic without any objects to help you is spells and curses, magic with artifacts is sorcery, magic with potions and ingredients like the ones this shop carried is witchcraft.

As soon as the man in black moved away from the counter, I walked up to the orc. "You are Max?", I asked.
The man nodded.
"Chickens in shiny silver armor.", I said. That was the password, the letter had informed me.
"Alright", the orc grunted.

The orc walked around the counter, the ladder moving out of the way all on it's own.

The orc stood next to the vulture. He tapped it twice and mumbled something.

Suddenly, a whole section of the floor popped out and floated away, coming to rest a few feet away and revealing a trapdoor.
"Thank you", I said opened the door and jumped in.

I landed in a cave already containing three people.
"Qinon, the Lost Ranger", said the woman in the middle.

The trapdoor was closed above me.
"I am Colonel Jabrei", the woman said.
I frowned. "You are one of the dragon clan people", I realized. "You attacked Elpis."

She nodded. "Yes, that was pretty exciting. But too many deaths, on both sides... And you Outlaws shot on us as we retreated, all the way back to the bay where we had our ships."
"I wasn't in that party", I growled, "but I wish I had been".

"Hey, don't argue. We came here to fight the other teams, not each other."
I looked at the man who had spoken.
"I'm Richard", he said.

I turned to the third person, standing in the corner next to the ornate chicken.
"And you?"
"I'm Maeglin the Rogue."

I heard footsteps above my head. Quickly, I moved out of the way. Just in time, too, because the fifth person on the team dropped through the hatch and landed where I had been standing.

"Ah, Jaldor of Red S– sorry, I mean Sorcoth. You really do look similar. Anyways, you're late."
"I had other business to attend to."

"Well, anyways, I guess we're all set now.

All shall fall before the Vicious Chickens of Bristol!
From left to right: Sorcoth/Professor B.; Qinon/Mr. Cab; Maeglin/bombin ben; Richard/Nathan Pownell; Jabrei/Asad. And I know that Sorcoth's face is messed up, but that's what you get for being a fleshie. :P

I'll be entering this into the CCC, and for it to fit a category, I had to change the figs around a bit. Here, a band of people is attacking the shop, and the mage defends it as her helper stores the most valuable items in the cave below.

Figless.

What I used to hold up the roof for everything except some of the interior shots. This build is different than the last one I did with rafters because these rafters actually support the roof, but they don't support it all that well, so an additional support was needed.

Figless.

That stonework... I like it a lot, but it looks better in real life than in the pictures.

This was also the first time that I made whitewash, so I took inspiration from Halhi (who else :P). Same with the roof.

The other wall. My dad came up with the vine through the wheel thing.

Wall. The colors other than the dark red are because the magic seeped through the stones. Invisible cookies to anyone who can figure out all the colors I used in the wall.

The cave is more eh, but still my best rockwork yet.

Emmet!!!

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with this one. I daresay it's my best Medieval Moc yet. It's also my 77th moc on the 'pages. Yay!

Go Chickens of Bristol!

Hope you liked it!

Quoting Timothy Post Nice job MR.Cab! Though I noticed that when your character in going down the trap door the handle is on the far side, But when he's in the cave the handle is on the near side. Why's that? :P
No, they match. It's just that the pictures in the cave were taken from the front, and the pictures in the shop were taken at the back. :P

No, Halhi, I was not referring to you. And Thomas - incorrect. :P

You call your cave "eh", but any cave is an epic cave in my opinion.

Quoting Professor B. Right! I couldn't remember his name. :P But in my mind, Sorcoth looks nothing like Jaldor. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=374334&id=/user_images/104376/1384355414m_DISPLAY.jpg http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=403316&id=/user_images/103628/1419788421m EDIT: At least, not that much.
Close enough to joke about it... :P

The colorful walls are cool, I actually haven't seen anything like it!
  January 2, 2015
Same hair, almost the same head, similar arm color, similar torso... :P
  January 2, 2015
Quoting Mr. Cab Jacob Pennington's character, Jaldor of Red Sand, had the exact same hair and face as yours does, plus he also had dark red arms and in general a similar outfit. A lot of people know what his character looks like because he founded the Crimson Knights guild for last year's tourney.

I need all the ideas I can get so... I copy a lot. :P Great build! Very creative idea for the weird coloring in the walls! I like it! Love the white-wash too! The road outside could have been a little more detailed but it looks good none the less!

Quoting Halhi 141 Kai, was that supposed to be referring to me? If so, I don't "copy things without knowing why"; I only copy what looks good and use my own ideas for a lot of stuff :P
He probably meant you with "big boys". :P

See, what I like about your builds is their authenticity. You aren't one of those guys who just try to copy everything the big boys do without knowing why they do it. You observe, adapt and adopt data as your own. Therefore your builds tend to be a little cruder than some others' but they are always higher quality. They are also improving extremely fast. In short: fantastic job. :P

I don't remember giving you permission to cut Sorcoth's hair. :P Kidding. Fantastic build! The stonework looks really good. The roof is pretty awesome as well. The interior's walls are meh, but I never build an interior, so whatever. :P For Chickens!

Yay! Chickens!! Maeglin looks epic! :P Aw, Sorcoth looks so friendly... The build is great! I think you executed the cave quite well, especially seeing the WIP pictures. I like the lantern you have. It's similar to the lantern I have in my upcoming build. Love those rafters and the walls look great! It's mix of different colors is truly unique.
