Unleash The Kraken Upon Atlantica
Ahoy Mateys, i thought i would share my latest monster with you, and my latest ship now we are at it, The Kraken And Atlantica, Read Below For More
About this creation
Ahoy, this be me little pet The Kraken, here exhibited at a new started event in Denmark.
They tried to move the exhibition from one place to another,
In order to get more visitors.
I was actualy begged to participate,

But more about the Kraken,
One day i wanted to build a Lego set, and i took one from my huge pile of unbuilded sets, the one i picked was, The spider from LOTR .
When i had made it,
I suddenly flipped it over, and thought thoose legs could be awesome tentacles, but i didnt want it to get to big, so i started with the spiders legs as base,

After had spend an entire saturday designing,
i went to bed, got up the next day, and started from scratch.
I knew just how to do it this time, and 8 hours later i more or less had this beast at my desk, at first it was to be small and just be able to capsize a rowboat....
But it didnt look right, so i kept on expanding, untill it could have the intire Bow of Daisy in it's mouth,
After a few weeks i got the suctions cups (which is really expensive)

85% of the bricks used, is made from bricks i got as a thanks from Lego, when i exhibited at LegoWorld 2014.

Enjoy

Dosen't she just look like a complete nightmare??
to thoose of you who wonders how i made this,
First i made a 8 sided cylinder.
Then used SNOT technics in & outside, and attached 96 teeth.
And each time one thoose panels drops off i have to get my hand
into the mouth of the best, litterly.
And everysingle time i crack off a few of its teeths, and they cannot be reatched, with dismantle the whole cylinder.....

a single tentacle can hold a rowboat all by itself, so it can easy hold a pirate in each tentacle,

Now what is the Kraken without it's trusty Master ??
He wouldn't miss the show, even for a houndred Jack Sparrow souls.

Personly, i love darkred and olivegreen, they look so neat together, and im very satisfied how the back turned out,
About the eyes. Some people I've asked replied. there is to many eyes on it, 2 will do.
But it wont, and i like the 4 eyes, makes it even more creepy in my book.

Thats a sight you really dont want to see over your railing

The brave sailors try and beat her back into the sea.
Which as seen is going well......or.....not..

Now for the Atlantica,
She was originaly build for a competetion at the French Embassy,
The tpic was : Create something French related,
Now you wonder what this got to do with that, let me explain.

The inventor of the Pirate Flag as we know it was, Emanuel Wynn.
A French Pirate, He's flag had an hourglass underneath the skull,
in order to tell he's targets that, if they didnt do as he commanded, they were would end up as shark bait.

I didnt win, since the French isn't that proud about some of their history...
Eitherway it was a great honer and experience,
She was displayed at the Embassy for 2 motnhs, in a windowsill the entire time,
But she wasent damaged,
Thoose pictures benath is from klodsfest 2014,
The same day she was picked up by a friend of mine and driven to the Embassy,

Just to clearify, the KF 2014 was 17/5 may. where she was picked up,
And i didnt get to see her again (besides at the short visit at the Embassy)

Before the Event in HÝrve (The Kraken pictures) 18/10 Oktober,
She was stored in my friends garage, Unfortunately you could see the effect from that on her, so i had to mend her, and it was a success.

Enjoy

I know the Bow is very square like, however,
I think its a cool characteristic, and might keep some of it, we will see.

This is the Flag i talked about, custom made. it was quite diffycult to figure out,
How to print at both sides without being upside down.

She will be demolished tomorrow, because i dont like the french colors, and re-made,
into Blue, Black Blue.

This is the longest Lego Story I've written in ages.
I hope it wasent as dreadfull to read as i think it was.

Cheers and keep the wind in ya sails.

Praise, comments, and Critic, is always welcome. And much appriciated

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Amazing scene! I love the gaping mall of the kraken! All those sharp teeth. Awesome looking tentacles, that's a lot of 2x2 dishes. The ship looks amazing too. Outstanding job!
Those dishes and the 1x1 round tan plates cost me an absolute fortune.....they were very expensive at the time.

Quoting Ben King The Atlantis looks very good but I've gotta admit that kraken takes the cake! Great work on it! Though the dark red with olive may not be your tradition octopus colors I agree they look quite good together. I love how it's tentacles are all capable of being moved and scooping up pirates and such. Awesome one!
Hey Ben, good to see you, And thanks for being the first to "notice"/commenting at the Atlantica, She has already been rebuild into a much better ship, nicer colors and shape. I love the tentacles aswell, the fact 1 can hold a rowboat in the air, all on it own, is really amazing. About the color scheme. I wanted it to be Greenish, because the kraken in POTC is so. and i just happened to have alot of olive and darkred briks, in weird shapes, and if you think about it, a real squid is darkred =)

Quoting Sebeus I It's a Monster! I really like that it can grab and hold minifigures, definitely a nice feature. I'm looking forward to see it for real, then the Captain of the Flying Dutchman can command the Kraken to attack all of your ships :P
It can actualy do that, i have a total of 7 ships, so it can attack each one, and strangle my Sigfig at the same time hehe,

Quoting Calvin . That's amazing, though the water looks a bit weird.
Thats because the "water" is diamonds, I think it looks great, but i can see what you mean. But thats how the surface looks like when a giant monster emerges
