About this creation
I really like creator set 5765, Transport Truck, it has alot of great colors and tons of wheels. I really thought all three official builds were great, they all used the colors and wheels perfectly. As i browsed MOCpages for alternates i was struck by Peteris Sprogis' two smaller MOC's, the Crane Truck and the Racer Concept. I really liked how Peteris used less parts from the set to make really perfected small models, roughly 4-6 studs wide. I decided to follow the same route with this set.

My first attempt was terrible and I almost couldn't stand to look at my own creation, it was destroyed right quick. After spending time making alternates with some other sets, I decided to return to set 5765 and see if the wings could be incorporated to make a classic caddy. It also would have been nice to tie in the orange on the side runners of the car, but it just made it too busy, the flow of just the blue and white is really nice, kind of like the little brother to 31006 Classic Low Rider.

Quoting Ron Dayes Considering the bricks used (pretty much standard), it couldn't be any better! Excellent! Greets, ron.
Thanks for the kind works Ron, it's much appreciated. I still have this little alternate sitting on my shelf, I can't bear to tear it down yet, I just love the way this car came out as well!

Quoting Scott Bertaut A very nice alternate making one of my favorite cars. The SNOT building works really well for the fins. I think I might have this creator set, I got some "random" parts at a thrift store but they might have just been this set missing the box and manual.
Thank-you Scott! This really is a great creator set, a fantastic collection of colors! I hope you can find your complete set!

Quoting Henrik Jensen Very stylish! The tail fins is a nice detail.
Thanks henrik. It's unanimous that everyone likes the fins, obviously I wished for a few other parts, which weren't there, but I'm totally pleased with the result
Quoting Clayton Marchetti Awesome car! I love the fins and the covered wheels. Fantastic!
Thanks Clayton, the rear wheels worked out perfectly, the set came with individual wheel plates and I used jumper plates on the front tires to get the right alignment for my sloped wheel wells to fit.
Quoting Vinny Turbo Very nice design !
