About this creation
Orthanc Bracket:
Your judges are Michael Kringe, Lee Muzzy, and Li Li.

This is my entry for the 2014-2015 Middle Earth Lego Olympics. This year's theme is character's from the Hobbit. I was given the category of Dwalin the Dwarf. As it is seen in the Hobbit book: "It was a dwarf with a blue beard tucked into a golden belt, very bright eyes under his dark green hood." I chose to build Dwalin's battle on Ravenhill because he is the most military experienced in the Company. I thought it portrayed him
very well.

My opponent is Vladimir van Hoek.

Known for being a great warrior, Dwalin is proud, brave, and proud. He will bow to no one but his king. Dwalin would like nothing more than to see the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor restored.

Dwalin and his brother Balin, fought together to reclaim Moria after the fierce Battle of Azanulbizar.

Dwalin has a natural tendency to not trust anyone who is not a Dwarf, expecially Elves. Though the only negotiating he has with orcs is with his Axe.

Ravenhill figless

Dwalin lived the longest of any other Dwarf in the Company of Thorin Okenshield. Even after the death of Sauron, and the destruction of Mordor he lived a fruitful life. Dwalin lived through the Fourth-Age and died at the age of 340.

Hey! I think it turned out alright, but I HATED building it! It took forever! And not to mention the stress...XD I almost couldn't enter...and I was REALLY mad!

Good Luck Vladimir van Hoek!

Soli Deo Gloria!

I really like both of the builds so its difficult to decide. but I think I have to go with Vladimir because of the full ranging motion on his figure. He has my vote.

The landscape is a little too messy for my taste. In the end, your opponent has my vote.

Wow, this was really a hard decision. Yours and your opponent's entries are very different and hard to compare, so at the end it's just a question of taste which one to choose. Your opponent's entry has my vote. Good luck with the other two judges.
