Barad-Dur Bracket
About this creation
Hi guys,

Here is my entry to round 2 of the MELO. My venerable opponent this round is J-Rod Smith. He has already beaten me twice in Middle Earth contests, but I am hoping third time will pay for all. Our category for this round was Smaug. I think it's pretty obvious how I interpreted this category!

I also tried using a black background on some of my pictures, which helped in my opinion.

As you can see in the main photo, Smaug's eye lights up thanks to a light brick behind it but I turned that off for most of the other photos. I also purposefully made Smaug brown instead of the red most people build him in. It looks closer to how he looked in the movie lighting and I had better pieces in it. Dark red would probably be the ideal color, but I didn't have enough slopes and other parts to make him that color.

The dwarf statue in the pillar was pretty fun to build!

Dwarven letters! They actually spell out Smaug. I translated them in the appendices to the Lord of the Rings (although I am not 100% sure they are correct).

Thanks for looking everyone!
