Porsche 911 930 Turbo
My latest model, and first Porsche: a 930!
About this creation
Yay, a 911!! I was reading an old review of this thing, and I thought that it would be really cool to build it in Legos. Someday I want to build this in real-life out of physical, ABS Lego bricks, which would be a first :D

Here you can see the abundance of cheese slopes in the rear. Cheese slopes will take over the world. MWAHAHAHA

Not my favorite, but I generally dislike the fronts of most of my cars anyway :P

On the other hand, I'm pretty proud of this. Took me a while to get a satisfactory design made.

Here you can see how the rear is a stud wider than the front. That was annoying to make, I'll tell you that...

The profile is OK, I guess...

Yay, it all opens! Even the rear. The front doesn't, but that's fine since there's nothing there. (Or is there...?)

Not too proud of the interior, but hey, if it has seats I'll take it.

I couldn't fit a fan with the way the engine cover was made, so we get this lame-tastical H6. At least it's the right engine. After I uploaded this, I realized there are no turbos in here, which is pretty embarrassing considering this is a 911 Turbo.

I'm pretty happy with this, what do you people think? Be sure to rate and comment any suggestions, and give me ideas for my next builds! Thanks :D

Quoting Scott Bertaut A great looking 911, this was always my favorite car playing Need for Speed as a kid, right next to the Jaguar XK8. Nice work on the interior, sounds like making the rear wider then the front was hard, but it was worth it! Now I want to go watch the movie No Mans Land, or at least the 911 and Camaro chase scene, the movie kind of went downhill after that anyway.
Thanks for the praise! I've never played Need for Speed, but it looks awesome :P Haha, I love that car chase!!

Quoting brick car Very nice car!You rebuild in lego one of the most iconic (and most difficult to rebuild in lego) cars and it's wonderful! It's very recognisable. The front is my favourite part but the rear is also super!
Thanks a ton brick car! It was very difficult (and frustrating) :P

Quoting Joost Cumps Quite an excellent render! 911 are incredibly challenging in Lego! just one remark: front and end black bumper inserts have a height difference that isn't there in real life. I would make the profile lots more difficult, I must admit.
Ah, I didn't notice, thanks for pointing out! Yeah, I'll probably change the profile at some point also, I also think it's weird :P...thanks!

Quoting Ron Dayes well done mister! porsches are a real challenge in any scale, soo many round shapes here and there. i really like the profile. i just think that the interaction of width and lenght is a bit off. it looks a bit wide. if you make the front 2-3 studs longer the proportions would be more realistic perhaps. Otherwise, i gotta say its totally recognizable as a 911 Turbo! Good job. Really looking forward for the Fiat X19, my mum used to have one back in a day...really unique looking car. Keep up the good work! PS: as an LDD builder, ever thought about using povray to render your MOC's? it really helped me out big time;) greets, ron.
Thanks Ron! Yeah, I thought it looked a little odd...the Fiat is certainly quite the unique car! Unfortunately, povray doesn't work on my Mac (believe me, I've tried). Thanks for the advice though, and the suggestion!!
