It's November 4, 1948, and 2-10-4 "Texas" type steam locomotive number 6297 is waiting on a side track while 2-6-0 "Mogul" number 4613 is just finishing up a stop at Cascadia Railroad station.
Number 4613 is hauling the Constitution Flyer from St. Louis on to Kansas City, with several stops in between. (Such as Cascadia) She will be underway again soon, and will be at Kansas City Union Station by 6:00 PM, having left St. Louis at Noon.
The Texas type however, was running light to the Brick Railway Systems Locomotive Shops at Jefferson city, Missouri, when it was ordered to a side track so the Constitution Flyer could pass. The engine is due for a yearly boiler checkup and will be back to work in a few days.
Scotnick's Maithwaite Station inspired the train depot, with the general layout and color scheme. His build (as far as I can see) is not modular, but my interpretation is with the second floor, both roof sections, and four individual platform components being removable.
Zephyr1934's instructions to MOD the Constitution Train Chase were very helpful in the Dark Green Mogul's construction, though the tender was a collision of two different Anthony Sava designs.
Anthony Sava's 2-8-4 Berkshire engine provided the source for the Black & Red Texas type. I re-engineered the boiler, added four studs to the length by putting two blind drivers on it. The tender is also a combination of two tender designs.
