MELO Round 3; Pieter Dennison vs Joseph Olson: "I would have gone with you to the end..."
About this creation
Orthanc Bracket:
Judges are Michael Kringe, Lee Muzzy and Li Li.

My third entry for the 2014/2015 Middle Earth Lego Olympics. The category for this round was characters from the Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring. Our character was Aragorn II, the son of Arathorn II, and Gilraen, also known as Elessar, was the 16th Chieftain of the Dúnedain of the North; he was later crowned King Elessar Telcontar, the 26th King of Arnor, and the 35th King of Gondor and First High King of the Reunited Kingdom. He was a great warrior, and as the heir of Isildur bore the shards of Narsil, reforged and renamed Andúril, in the War of the Ring.

My opponent: Joseph Olson

For this entry I decided to go with the famous Amon Hen scene where Aragorn tells Frodo: " I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor. Then the battle for Amon Hen begins.

Good Luck Joseph and everyone else in Round 3.

Hmm This one was not any easy match up to judge. you both did pretty similar builds, however your opponent had more going on in his build as well as more building techniques. He gets my vote.

This is a very tough decision. I like your structure. The sculptures are very nicely done. But I like your opponent's landscape a tiny bit more. So in the end he gets my vote.

Very nice build, although it would probably better to have Aragorn just hold his sword considering how bulky the whip piece is.

Both builds are really excellent! In the end your opponent gets my vote, because I feel his MOC is slightly richer in variety.

So my friend, what can I say to this MOC? Absolute top class, but that's not all. The walls are really cool, no exclusively. The rock works look awesome, and the building has unique textures. All around a work which can only be from you. Top Job.... and good luck

Quoting Reese Hawthorne Pretty nice! However, the landscaping is a bit bleh. Good luck in MELO R3!
Thanks Reese, although some landscapes are quite bleak and that's what I was trying to go with
