January 28th was my 3rd MOCversary.
About this creation
This post is my 100th post on MOCpages! January 28th, 2015 which was also the 57th anniversary of the LEGO brick, was my third MOCversary. I missed my MOCversary last year so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss it this year. I have been in college for all of the past year, including the summer so I haven't been that active on MOCpages. However, this has been a big LEGO year for me. I got my first job so I now have a LEGO budget that I didn't have before.Because of that my LEGO collection has grown by about 8000 pieces. Some of those 8000 pieces are in my college dorm room so that I don't have to wait until I go home to build with LEGO bricks; I can build with them whenever I have time. I also was finally able to buy the LEGO Millennium Falcon that I have wanted since I was a kid right before it sold out on LEGO.com. I was very excited about that since I am a huge Star Wars fan and I've never been able to afford the LEGO Millennium Falcon before.
Because my LEGO collection grew by a lot this year, I went and bought more storage for my collection and I now have a new sorting system. I will probably post pictures of it sometime this summer.
I saw The LEGO Movie last summer and was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually is. I highly recommend seeing it because it is very funny and clever. It has things in it that only LEGO fans would notice.
I also introduced my 2 year old cousin to LEGO this year when I got her her first DUPLO bucket for her birthday last August. Her mom tried to mix the DUPLO bricks with the MEGA BLOKs she already had but my cousin immediately separated them out again. That might be because the DUPLO bricks were standard colors and the MEGA BLOKs were in shades of pink and purple but I must say that I was very happy to see that. It might be easy to teach her about how MEGA BLOKs are always inferior to LEGO pieces.

I have only posted 5 creations this past year on MOCpages since I am usually very busy and I am hardly ever home where my main LEGO collection is. These are the five creations in the order that they were posted on MOCpages:

House - I made this on LDD when I was in my college town taking classes last summer. I wanted to build a bigger house with more detail than I could build from my current LEGO collection. Posted June 28, 2014.

Dragon Knight Fortress - I bought a few new Castle sets last summer and I wanted to use some of my new minifigures in a MOC. I always enjoy building Castle MOCs. Posted August 8, 2014.

Spaceship - I built this because I have always wanted to try building SNOT wings and because I wanted to try to create a spaceship that kind of had a classic space look about it. Some of this MOC was inspired by Benny's Spaceship in the LEGO Movie. Posted August 8, 2014.

Merry Christmas! This was the first Christmas MOC that I had made in years. I depicted a Christmas scene with Star Wars minifigures inside the house. Posted December 25, 2014.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - I got this idea when I was thinking about how I hadn't made a mosaic in a long time and it was around Christmas so I thought I'd make a mosaic of Rudolph from my favorite Christmas special. Posted December 25, 2014.

Beach Hut - This was the first MOC built from my small LEGO collection in my dorm that I thought could go on MOCpages. I built it in November 2014 but didn't get around to posting it until December. Posted December 26, 2014.

After being on MOCpages for three years, these are my top five creations in terms of number of likes:

Number 1:

AFOL - The post I made for my 18th birthday when I officially became an AFOL. Posted July 1, 2013, 32 likes, 2nd year of being on MOCpages.

Number 2:

1985 Super Mario - Posted July 12, 2012, 28 likes, 1st year of being on MOCpages.

Number 3:

Trick or Treat - Posted October 29, 2012, 25 likes, 1st year of being on MOCpages.

Number 4:

A Castle Overlooking A River - Posted January 12, 2013, 23 likes, 1st year of being on MOCpages.

Number 5:

My LEGO Collection - Posted July 24, 2012 about 5 months before I sorted my LEGO collection, 21 likes, first year of being on MOCpages.

Here are some other creations that are some of my favorites that I have posted during the last three years in the order that they were posted:

Accepted into Washington State University - Posted October 20, 2012.

Town House - Posted February 10, 2013.

Butch T. Cougar - Posted February 10, 2013

Beach Cottage - Posted June 28, 2013.

Technic Airplane - Posted August 7, 2013.

Mini Dinosaurs - Posted August 7, 2013.

Thank you to everyone who has liked and/or commented on my creations the past three years. Your feedback has helped me become a better builder since I have joined MOCpages. When I joined MOCpages three years ago, I was posting "rainbow warrior" creations but now I always pay attention to color. I will try my best to be more active this year on MOCpages than I was in the last year.

GO COUGS!
