MELO R3- Amon Hen 003

“Elendil!”

MELO R3- Amon Hen Overall

The build.
So this is MELO R3-Amon Hen 2.0. I decided to completely revamp the landscaping (the last was a lot more realistic to the movie, believe me, Pics below) but I like how this one turned out.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 004

I tried Gilbert's Despathen's Round Wall Technique (scroll down) for the first time in this build. There are multiple reasons why it is so short. That method of stairs I think I invented (:D), though I'm open to being proved wrong.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 005

The rockwork. This stuff was sort of based off of Patrick Massey's rockwork in his Forgotten Monastary build, though I'm sure it resembles other people's stuff much more.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 006

The other, more boring, stairs. I tried to give them a cracked and weather-beaten look, though I'm not sure I succeeded.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 007

The landscaping. I ran out of dark green FYI.
The little ruins here and on the other... protrusion mirror each other in design.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 008

The rockwork in the back, one of the only things kept from the last model, except the architecture.
And some dead orcs. ”Orcses, orcses, lot's of orcses...” sorry.

WIP MELO R3

The old model. I tried my first Panel landscaping... thus the redo. I know what you're thinking. Blocky, messy, colors are off, larger then is necessary... agreed.

MELO R3- Amon Hen 009

A parting shot... of Aragorn, son of Arathorn, King under the... :P
Yeah. I didn't feel like copying Pieter's script there.

Well I hope you will li*ahem* liked my build. Special Thanks to Halhi 141, and everyone else who helped me refine this build. Good luck Pieter, and may the best dwarf win! :P

Soli Deo Gloria & Sola Gracia!

Hmm This one was not any easy match up to judge. you both did pretty similar builds, however you had more going on in your build as well as more building techniques. you get my vote.

Quoting Verticus Akkron I LOVE your redo! Nice job; it sure brings out the scenery and exercises your strength in stonework. Did you get Aarogorn's cape from CapeMadness?
Thanks! And yes, I did.
