Music Shop

This is my music shop. I've been wanting to do this one for a long time, but needed to gather parts and figure out how the layout would work. I wanted it to look like an older building that had been converted into a shop/studio. I did something a bit different by putting glass in the side of the building to allow for a better view of the recording studio. I put a lot of details in there, and I wanted people to be able to see them, haha.

Quoting Tommy Williamson very cool, blogged! http://bricknerd.com/home/music-shop-25-2015
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it! I love music, too, but am woefully talentless, haha.

Quoting Gerald F. Brilliant work both inside and out!! Love that big musical tone symbol on the wall. It's very eye-catching. Keep On Brickin'!
Thank you! I actually started with that music note so I could figure out how the rest of the building would have to be laid out.

Quoting Scott Bourgeois This blows my music store away, yours is 1,000 times better and more detailed. Excellent job! I like the plaid carpet, reminds me of a music shop I frequented back in the day. Again, spectacular build!
Aw, thank you so much! I figured the floor would be really hit or miss with people. I'm glad you like it!

Quoting Tanner Compton Looks awesome! I like the small details you've included - the drum set and saxophone stands look really good! In addition - clever addition of the classic Sebulba tile as an album cover!
Thanks! I spent some time rooting through my collection and on Bricklink to find some suitable album covers.

Quoting 3rdeye88 . Being a musician, and having spent plenty of time in music stores, I absolutely love this. You nailed most of the details to, like the cables on the wall. Very nice part usage there. I really enjoyed seeing this MOC. <3
Thank you! I'm glad you like the cables. It was a small investment to gather them, haha. I got extras just in case.

Quoting Stewart & Sydney Godwin A really great shop! Love the studio upstairs - would love to see some better shots of the studio area if you ever take the walls down where you can get the camera in closer. Very well done.
Thank you! Yeah, I usually try to avoid building things that tight, but there were a lot of considerations I had to make for this one. That's why I put the glass in the side wall so you could at least get one extra viewpoint.

Quoting Maxwell Bonett Awesome, great and cool at the same time! How did you get that wall effect? You don't have to tell if you don't want, like it's a secret technique or something. Love the moc! Keep on bricking!
Thanks! I got the siding by using a lot of those 2x2 brackets built into a flat wall. So without those 1x2 cheese slopes, the wall is just covered with studs. I'm sure I can't be the first person to have done that, though.

Quoting Vladimir van Hoek To think it only stands on 16x32 and this level of detail, wow! The choice of heads of the fig in the studio is the best! Awesome
Thank you! Yeah, I went out and got another princess minifig just for the head so I could use it here, haha.

Quoting David Roberts I like the pattern of the acoustic tiles in the recording. The pattern of the tartan floor is another matter: it's definitely eye-catching! A really neat and tidy and interesting build: excellent!
Thank you! I realize the floor downstairs is a bit loud, but I really wanted to keep it colorful, and to avoid just a plain concrete floor, which might be more realistic, but also really sterile.
