LoM - The Supreme Spy Council
S1 E2.
About this creation
This was it.

I was in the room of arguably the most powerful Council in this world. The council my father had started. I wondered idly how much it had changed. This council certainly seemed more wealthy than my father had described.

Two of the council members were pouring over documents. Jacob cleared his thought, attempting for the council's attention.

One of them looked up, and setting his quill back in the inkwell.
"Welcome back, Jacob Edwards. And good to see you as well, Nickolas. But who is the stranger you have brought?"

"A bandit, I'll warrant," a voice called from the balcony. "Or a Rainosian dog, after our money." It was Sir Burl, the Head of Mythron branch, Supreme Spy Council.

I was ready with a Sarcastic reply when Jacob interjected,
"There is no reason to call him that. This man is of noble blood, and a friend to this council."

Sir Burl walked down the balcony, and stopped right in front of my face.
"And who is this friend of the council? A beggar? Or was your father a drunk?"
"How did my father ever live with the likes of you?" I snapped back. "I am no beggar. I am Jonathan Gideon, and if you EVER insult my father again, I will personally run your head into the wall."

Silence filled the room.

Gracefully, the head of the Council interceded.
"Jonathan Gideon. It is indeed a reward to have you back. Your father meant a great deal to this council, and we all share in your loss. But let me ask you," he continued. "Will you join this council? Will you help the organization your father made?"
I had intended to ask for that, so naturally I responded. "Yes."

"Good," he replied. "Now we must vote on it."
"And discuss it," another Neroguian interjected.

For the next few minutes, the council discussed the turn of events.
"His father was the embodiment of everything this council stood for," Max, an Enalican, commented.
"But to give him a seat, having just meet him?" Torr, the Neroguian asked. "That hardly seems prudent."
"I disagree," Victor Revolwold, the Rainosian, told him.
"I don't like him," Sir Burl interjected.
"Liking him isn't the issue here," The head of the council told the Mythronian. "And now we must vote. What vote you, Max?"
"Aye."
"And you, Torr?"
Torr looked uncertain. "I vote nay to giving him a voting seat, but aye to bring him on the council"
"And you, Sir Burl?"
"Nay!"
"Victor?"
"Aye."
"The it's down to me. I vote to give Gideon a voting seat."
The council looked at their head, surprised.
"I hope you know what you're doing," Torr told him.
With that, the council dispersed.

The head of the council walked over to me.
"Well, Jonathan, you now have a seat here. But are you ready for a mission?"
"Indeed," I responded.
"I need you to track down rumors in Saurtorio. Max lives there, so he can give you any assistance you need."
"Rumors of what?"
"The Black Lotus."
I was about to walk out, but the Councilman stopped me.
"There's one last thing," he replied.
"What?"
He lowered his voice to a whisper. "There's a mole. Right at the top of the Council."
"And you want me to try and find him?"
"Indeed. I know you're not the mole, because the information has been leaking for some time."
On that happy note, the Head of the Council departed.

Jacob walked over to me, having just been briefed by Torr.
"So, ready for a mission?"
I merely gave him a scathing look. He may have been a Council operative, but he was still Mythronian. But more to the point, he could be the mole. Just as my training taught, 'trust only those you know well. Suspicion can save your life'. Little did I know how true that statement would prove.

Builder's notes: SO this was my first interior build in some time, and I hope it turned out okay. Tell me what you think!

Author's notes: This is something I felt was very important to the story. In my original Season 1, I never properly explained the Supreme Spy Council. If you are interested in learning more about them, click here .

Great job! I love the build, and the wall technique is awesome, and the story intruiging. I have yet to come across a LoM series I have stayed intrested in, but here is the one! I'll be following it. It has inspired me to continue with my own LoM series. -Argo

Quoting Benjamin Olson Well done with this build. The story is good, and I like the way that Gideon makes his feelings towards the Mythronians known at once. Cows are so ugly, aren't they? Keep it up!
