The Cheesemaker's Cottage
Out in the badlands, about 50 miles from the middle of nowhere, there lives a cheesemaker who longs for greatness, but is condemned to live a life carrying on the family business, with no one but six goats to keep him company. Sorry about the bad lighting and weird shadows.
About this creation

The Cheesemaker himself.

Cheese...

Blue Cheese :P

I think this railing technique is new.

Greebling.

I absolutely love this roof. I will definitely use nets in the future.

Scarecrow.

Butter Churn.

Yes, I know orc heads have absolutely nothing to do with cheesemaking, but the landscape here was boring, so I threw in some mutilated orcs. Clearly, this is not a manufacturing plant.

The path. (Obviously. You know, my commentary seems to be a bit pointless.)

The return of Doctor Schnilstron von Pig!

Bird's eye view.

This is a pig, but he is no ordinary hog - he is Doctor Schnilstron von Pig, the World's most ambitious swine! He has begun his quest for world domination and will stop at nothing. with an army of mudballs at his disposal, he will be victorious!

On display at BricksCascade.

I really love this build, don't get me wrong, but god that roof is so messy :/ Use smaller tiles but in a similar way. I know you already said it's supposed to look messy but it just looks bad messy at the moment as opposed to a more aesthetically pleasing messy. Hope this helps.

"Blessed are the cheesemakers". Great build with lots of very nice little details. I love the scarecrow.

This is excellent! The various textures in here are quite well pulled off, along with the general aesthetic! I might say that a few too many colors were used in the landscape (I would know, I've been accused of it multiple times. :P). Great work overall!

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus P.S.: using bending metal for the roof is a very good idea, but maybe you should have made it look more like a roof that holds rain off. 1x2 to 1x3 tiles mostly, or maybe 2x2 or 1x1 or a sensible mixture of all, would look better.
Here, I think you missed the point. The roof isn't supposed to look sturdy. The house is more of a ramshackle building that has been used for a long time, and has begun to fall into disrepair. It isn't supposed to be a roof that holds off rain. Also, It's dark wood.

Great work Micah, nice landscaping and I especially like that hole in the wall. Although the only criticism would be to not make the roof so clustered next time, it looks very busy. But other than that brilliant work :)

That roof technique is very interesting, too bad I don't have any lego nets... The rock work here is well done, the water is also good (even though many people use that technique). One piece of advice though, is don't use this many shades of green for the landscaping, it's very distracting. Other than that, exquisite work here.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus I think the landscape works cluttered because you used clashing colours (sand green looks too blue/white here and is very distracting). Without the dark green + sand green or dark tan + olive green, it would look better.
I actually like those colors together, and I think that only brown generally makes for a rather bland landscape. In my opinion, that is what makes this landscape work, because it creates a magical and romanticised atmosphere.

Quoting Stephan Niehoff The roof is very remarkable, the tiles are placed all loose on the roof ?
Nope, technic pieces stuck through a net.

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head Very nice. For some reason the landscape looks a little cluttered to me, but I can't say why. Maybe the irregular border, perhaps. Otherwise everything looks great. Standouts for me are the scarecrow, the variety of cheese, and everything about the house. Great work!
I thought that too, but for this build, I think it works well. But the section with the orc heads had been boring before I added foliage.
