Oh man, where to begin...
About this creation

Overview of Rodgenhale Farm

Rodgenhale Farm is a small, but very productive farm that resides in the medieval countryside. The farmer, his wife, and three sons work hard everyday to keep their farm running, and on this day, they are paid a visit (which doesn't happen often as they are pretty far out in the country) by a merchant. The merchant's cart is filled with all sorts of things exotic to these farmers.

I do plan on displaying this creation at Brickworld Chicago, so you might just see it there! :-) This is my first MMM (Medieval Mega-MOC); this creation is something that has been in the works for about two months now and I finally finally finally have finished it. There are a lot of techniques that I have used in this build (some of which I made up myself), which really hope to enhance the detail that brings out the agricultural side of this MOC.

The landscaping here is fabulous. The roof and trees are great also. The pond looks a bit square but that's the only negative bit I can see. Fantastic work all around! =)

Quoting Brick snapper you are welcome! MOC pages is awesome so far! Its so much more complex then the lego.com gallery, but I tend to like it a little bit more.(: we should make a group with promar! (thinking out loud here..)(; I wanted to ask, has brickworld Chicago happened yet?
:-) Yeah, MOCpages is a great place! We should make a group with Promar, that's sounds like a good idea to me. Brickworld Chicago has not happened yet, (I think it's in June [I should know as I am scheduled to go to it] :P ), and here's a link so that you can learn more about it, if you'd like: http://www.brickworld.us/chicago/

Quoting Shock TNC not to take away from the build but, how do you take your pictures and what camera do you use ?
Hi! Well, for my photos, I take pictures with a Nikon D3200 and I typically will use simply just a few large sheets of paper that I tape a wall behind the creation. I make sure to use proper lighting in my photo area (I have a tripod with three lights evenly diffusing the light on the creation). Also, when I am finished loading the photos onto my laptop, I then edit them using the program Paint and them upload them on Flickr to do further editing. Flickr's editor is where I really try to snazzy-up the photos. Hope this helps; thanks for commenting. :)

Quoting Promar Quadratus Despite tying up my tongue and rendering my brain useless for about 12 hours, I can finally continue my babbling as begun on Lego.com... ;)
Whoa, thank you my friend for such an overwhelmingly friendly comment, I really do appreciate it so very much. Yes, this creation is (I think) somewhat revolutionary in my LEGO building hobby and sorta turns to a new chapter in it, so to speak. Do I ever plan on taking it apart? Well... Probably... But, it's one of those MOCs that I really don't want to (I still have the El Conquistador Rico together and the Ammonite as well). Come the dreadful day that I take it apart, I'm sure I'll shed a tear or two. ;-) Now, to answer how I built this... Well, I will tell you that I grew significantly in the virtue of patience (as this build took sooooo long to build, and there were many building challenges in it). It is great to have a friend as great as you in the wonderful hobby of LEGO building; thank you for your support my friend. God bless, BrickBuilder7622

Despite tying up my tongue and rendering my brain useless for about 12 hours, I can finally continue my babbling as begun on Lego.com... ;) Awesome possum work BrickBuilder, truly amazing how you've laid this build out, bordered it, detailed it, made it something beautiful and eye catching... This could go on for a while. After your Wizards Meeting creation evidently you buckled down to get all of your textures and colors perfected (or as much as can be so). Your photo quality is as good, if not better, than always (plus I like your new Logo :) ), something that I've always admired about you. Not only do you make some fantastic stuff, but you take pictures worthy of them. Wow. The construction of the house is probably the best part of this build, you've captured a rough hewn yet color coordinated look that beats all. The trees are also fantastic (and the whips are a snazzy little addition). A couple of questions: Do you plan on ever taking this creation apart? That would be a huge endeavor... Also, how can you POSSIBLY top this?!? I say that in stunned admiration knowing that with your skills and abilities it won't be particularly hard to do :) You've frankly left me trailing in the dust... And I love it ;) Glad to finally get to see this; glad to know you my friend (also glad that I don't have the character limitation of the other gallery. 500 characters to describe this?!? No way.) God bless and take care, ~Promar~

You know, reading your all's comments makes me feel so great; I really appreciate them, and I sincerely thank you. This creation is one of those "bucket list" MOCs and I am really glad I finally finished it. Your comments are really the "icing on the cake" and just make finishing the MOC all the better. So I again thank you so much for the comments. :-)

Ladies and gentlemen, the mega-moc has just arrived. This is definitely the moc that was well worth the wait. The roof on the house is interestingly cool. The texturing on the house itself adds some more interest also. And those trees are very eye pleasing. The whole thing is awesome, glad to see a creation from you!

That's big! I like the big tree, but I think that the texturing on the roof may be slightly overdone.

Magnificent work BrickBuilder! I love the farm and farm house. That roof looks awesome. Great looking door too. The swords work great for the hinges. I like the wipes wrapped around the tree, nice touch. The reeds in the pond are brilliant. Really outstanding build! Have a great time at the show my friend!

Very nice build!! I particularly like all the details made from unlikely parts, i.e. - swords for door hinges, etc. The cottage itself is very cool - an organized mishmash of all different parts. Excellent!
