So what if Hero Factory is a thing of the forgotten past? I can still make MOCs! So this is pretty much the closest thing to a HF Self MOC that I have; introducing Mary Windbird!
About this creation
ďI canít keep running from my crime; if Iím to honour the badge of hero, then I must face what Iíve done.Ē
-Mary Windbird, The Contenders #32

Mary Windbird:
Mary Windbird, sometimes referred to as "The Green Light", was a vigilante affiliated with the Hero Factory. While she used to work directly for the Factory, in her later years she fought crime alone, though always in the organisationís name. She typically fought at night, employing stealth when hunting villains and combatting them with her dual pistols. She was focused and decisive, and at times brusque in her desire to do things her way. Those who knew her on a more intimate level could enjoy a kinder and more gentle Windbird.

Windbirdís guilt. (Contenders #32)

Windbird was one of the many Heroes created with the debut of the 2.0 Build. She spent some time in training before being bullied by several other heroes into participating in the Gomorran Massacre; she instantly regretted this and carried this guilt to the end of her days. Her training ended and she joined the Ceta Team, one of the minor HF squads; here, she bonded closely with another hero named Jack Lupus. The Ceta Team had little action in their careers until, on the planet Racta Magna, they were massacred by a robot called the IRM; Windbird was the sole survivor, Lupus sacrificing his life to destroy the IRM, though she had befriended two Toa, Onika and Korapa, before returning home.

Over the years, Windbird became increasingly more popular and prestigious, until she split off from the formal structure of the Hero Factory and began working on her own. She began bringing criminals to justice by her own means; she was dubbed ďThe Green LightĒ as, at night, all that could be seen of her was the glow of her eyes and hero core, both of which shined a faint green. She worked as the Green Light for some time; however, for reasons unknown she took a shuttle to Racta Magna. She sent the Hero Factory a transmission informing them of where she was going. However, the data was intercepted by a villain named Dread, a survivor of the Gomorran Massacre: he followed her with three other villains; Voltwhip, Tumbler and Bipotron.

Windbird landed on Racta Magna and met a Toa named Galia, who took her to Racta Major, where she reunited with Onika and Korapa. She was followed by a group of heroes led by Jenna Arrowhead; they warned Mary about the arrival of Dread. While out with Galia, Onika and Korapa, they came across the IRM, which had been rebuilt to attack them. Battle ensued, which the heroes won with the help of Jack Lupus, who had apparently survived the last encounter with the robot. The following day, Dread arrived at the city and demanded that the Toa hand over Windbird, otherwise she would be taken by force. A great debate was held that night about whether she was worth risking the cityís population.

They eventually decided not to give her up, which resulted in a battle between Racta Major and Dreadís gang; Mary was almost taken but was rescued by a Toa of fire named Krode. During this battle, Dread informed Galia about Maryís contribution to the Gomorrah bombing, which angered the Toa greatly. Mary tried to explain her actions, winning the support of Clank, a friend of the Toa, who helped to settle the debate. The others set out to track down Dreadís gang, while Windbird and Clank remained behind to guard the city; she became extremely anxious about her inaction. She finally got the opportunity to fight when Dreadís gang arrived at the city a second time. The villains were repulsed, but at the cost of Jack Lupusí life.

As a result, Windbird fell into deep mourning, snapping at Galia when she tried to comfort her. Arrowhead then proposed that the entire group seek out the army that Dread had been building and ambush them. They set out and found the group easily. The large numbers of Dreadís army soon fizzled out as the battle went on, with only Dread and his gang remaining. During this battle, Windbird killed two of Dreadís servants, Voltwhip and Bipotron; one of the other heroes scorned her for this, which deeply affected her. Dread was defeated and handcuffed, but Mary ordered that the villain be released. She gave him her gun and allowed him to shoot her, so that she may fully compensate for the Gomorran massacre. Dread himself soon died after this.

Mary Windbird was buried back in her home in Makuhero city.

Here she is! While slightly less custom than the previous version, I decided that I needed to focus on her looks a lot more this time around, as she looked a bit like a shapeless blob in her last iteration.

Teh back.

Her pistols!

Kicking the stuffing out of a Darkened Runner.

Ah Metru Man, you're such a badman.

Compared with the shortest Hero Build and the tallest. As you can see, Windbird is about the size of Brain Attack Stormer, or Brain Attack Surge, give or take.

Her Gang!

My next MOC, coming in two weeks! Can you guess who it is?

You heard the lady! :P

Quoting Hunter Chains Beautiful MOC! I love the trans green and black colour scheme. Her legs are awesome and I really like her head design! I also love the story and how she's just sort of a street-level crime fighter unlike the other Heroes. It really makes her unique! One thing I really think you need to change are the lower arms. They are way too skinny and small. That is easily fixed though. Anyway, really cool MOC Wert! (BTW nice to see your still here :P Revising for tests I presume!)
Thanks Chains! Glad you like the MOC, and yeah, I did like the concept of that solo crime fighter thing. Yeah, I was kinda trying to mimic the type of forearms on the likes of the Brain Attack heroes, but yeah, they're a bit too small, may change that in future. (And yeah, in the middle of exam period, but that'll be over in a couple of weeks)
