The WW4 Tank Mech was primarily used as strong line of defense against the ever-growing Canadian Empire. Later re-purposed as the world's largest marshmallow roaster.
About this creation
Plenty of joints makes it very posable.
Close-up of the left hand gripper/ turret with scope.
Close-up of the right hand epic machine gun of death XD
Tried some greebling on the upper legs. I think it helps sell the look but lemme know what you think :)
large exhaust fans keep the enormous machinery from overheating.
From the back you can see the rear armoring, generator (in the middle), and fuel tanks (lower middle on either side).
Close up of the shoulder-mounted tank turrets.
The cockpit actually opens, revealing the pilot. His torso is from the Takeshi minifigure from Exo Force.
Pressing on the antenna causes the generator to glow! If you remeber the old LEGO product line Exo Force, you'll remember that nearly every set had a "power up" function that caused a light brick and a tube to glow. I used the same technique here just with the newer, brighter yellow light brick.
For alot of AFOLs, there was some particular LEGO series from their childhood that stuck with them. For some that might be classic space or pirates or whatever. Being a TFOL, the classic space of my generation (for me at least) was Exo Force. I will always nostalgically remember sitting in my room as a kid clashing my human exo suit army against the evil robots XD. Those were the days!
So anime-style soldiers piloting giant robot suits will always have a special place in my heart and this Tank Mech is a tribute to my favorite LEGO series ever.
