Did I say I didn't like this theme? What I meant was...
About this creation
No sooner had I got done posting OFNF #7 and talking about how lame SPII was, when inspiration struck. So here we go again. Is there a name for this angled-engine pod style of fighter, when the engines are behind the cockpit rather than in front? It needs to become a thing, along the same lines as the Vic Viper.
I freely admit I used a cockpit technique similar to the craft on the cover of "LEGO Space: Building the Future." It's a good technique!
Yes, those are stickers. (*GASP*)
Exhaust is light blue...like the Millennium Falcom.
Close-up of the back end showing the forest green grille slopes. It's a great color to use for SPII MOCs, and I'll probably integrate it more and more--just have to get more pieces.
Only you could make Space Police II cool. Those engines are awesome, looks like it's rearing to go! I remember a trend on the 'pages at some point that was some kind of space racing (was it called DART maybe?) that featured some ships along this line, but I don't remember any of them being quite this cool. Currently I'm working on copying the walls show on the Reid/Goddard book just to see if can. They are parts-intensive, let me tell you! Great work.
I must agree with you, SPII is a topic that I do not like so much. But ..... Your ship has become beautiful. I like the cockpit (a technique that I have applied to my exploration ship). Also the engines are cool. Very good job.
