About this creation
I finally destroyed all of my old MOC's that had been sitting around on my shelf collecting dust, i had been looking forward to making a tiny space base, and of course i wanted to work in the good ol' classic space colors of blue and light grey, my favorite!

It all started with the micro spaceship build in the Santa's Workshop from last holiday, once i saw that little build i wanted to make a whole base around it, you can see the ship on the landing platform and a similar model about to take off of the launching ramp. Adding in the rugged space mountains and some stars in the night sky really brought this whole mini vignette together. I made sure to include a rover, a radar dish, a rocket ship with a launch pad, and a space station. i hope you all enjoy and leave comments.

Very impressive! I don't know if I've ever seen as much detail packed into a 12x12 vignette, and you have managed to stick to the CS theme perfectly.

Cheers Matt! It's always great to hear from you! I went through all the old CS sets and kind of got an idea of how many elements I wanted to include in the base. Initially I had hoped to squeeze two wheeled vehicles in there, but it made it just a little too cluttered. I'm glad it worked out so well

Quoting Marc dZ Yeaaaaah!! Awesome!! I like your work on rocks and ships. The dark sky with stars is a bright idea. I just would have used less shiny colors for the landing zone: only 4 trans red flat tiles at the corner of the white base. It's hard to build micro, now I understand.
Thanks marc! That's funny you bring up the landing pad, I messed around with those tiles so many times, at first I had it with only 4 red tiles, but it got changed, and now I think you may be right, that it would be better with less. Cheers buddy!

My pleasure! ROFL It seems like a lot of so-called illegal techniques benefit the micro-scale actually, micro being what it is. I'm not a major purist anyway so I don't mind!! Well said! (glow-in-the-dark stars, that's great ^_^)

Quoting Sven Jagdmann This is really cool. So many nice details in such a small scale. Love that you added a backgound out of legos ;) Well done!
Thank-you Sven! A few of those 'stars' are glow in the dark, i wish i had taken the time to get a photo of it, it looks neat on my shelf when i turn the lights off at night :-)

Quoting eric s Hey Damon! I see so many cool techniques on this MOC, it comes together very nicely with a lot of action! I love that "blue comm tower"(? w/the 2 claw clips & skeleton leg xD) and the ship taking off too. Betcha loved posting this after Stephan Niehoff's massive space base :P Awesome work my friend! Have any more modules in mind?
Hey my old friend! Thanks for such kind words! I had an absolute blast building this little vignette, I was so excited to use a bunch of illegal connections :-) and yeah, it was hilarious to post this right after our friend Stephan N's amazing space outpost, that beast is just a piece of pure evil genius work. I'm glad my little base has a place on the pages next to all the other great creations here! Cheers!

Thank-you Henrik! Adding a black background was actually one of the first ideas that came to me when constructing this MOC, glad you like it.

Quoting LegoPredator ! WOW awesome work! It´s not easy to build in this scale but you did really great job on this space base! Bravo!
Thanks Predator! I love me some microscale. It's kinda what helped bring me back from the dark ages. The microscale modular set from LEGO 10230, an amazing set for learning micro techniques.
Quoting Locutus 666 A lovely cute micro base. Well done Damon!
Thanks for the comment Locutus! Cheers
Quoting David Roberts Brilliant! I like the wheeled vehicle and the support tower for the space rocket.
This means a lot coming from you David, thank you, I'm excited to expand on this idea.
Quoting Elias P Awesome!!

Quoting Stephan Niehoff Brilliant job my friend , just brilliant.
Thank you so much Master Neihoff! Alas this micro base pales in comparison to you imposing space outpost, your mind is brilliant. My set would be a perfect toy for one of your spaceman on the base! Haha! Cheers buddy.
