Eroberung: Scyther V-44
My latest Dieselpunk creation for my currently expanding universe. You don't have to read the story though. :)
About this creation
Check it out on Flickr!
Also, I and several friends are working on creating a group for the Eroberung universe. It would be great if you could help out with the creation of the group (only if you want to of course!) Eroberung: A Dieselpunk World.
The Scyther V-44 is Britain's one and only mechsuit design. The reason that Britain only has one mechsuit design is because of all the damage that was inflicted upon them during the mass bombings that took place. This took a major toll on both their population, and their factories. So they are not quite as advanced in electromechanical technology as nations such as Germany and the U.S.A.. The Scyther was produced in 1944 primarily as a scouting and reconnaissance mech. It has a minigun mounted on its shoulder, and a light cannon as well. It is an extremely quick and agile suit. But its lack of armor and heavy weapons make it unsuitable for pitched battle. But now that the year of 1946 is coming to a close, the British spies have reported that the dreaded German invasion is to begin in the spring of 1947.
Winston Churchill is calling upon the United States to come to the defense of Britain before the spring arrives. If the U.S.A. doesn't give aid to Britain, than all of Europe shall be lost to Germany. Only the United States will remain if Britain falls.
But the British shall never give up.
"We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."

-Winston Churchill, Prime Minister.
This is part of my new Dieselpunk series that I am doing. Stay tuned for more! Also, if you could help me come up with ideas for what this universe should be called, that would be awesome! Thank you!

The Scyther V-44 is in a desperate melee with the Kröte R-319!
One direct hit from the Kröte, and the Scyther will be in flames.

Thanks for viewing my creation!
A group has been created for the Eroberung universe, but it is currently getting the rules, guidelines, and storyline ironed out. Once that is done, the group will be open to the public! Criticisms and comments are appreciated.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Great mech. I also like the fact that you're building these at a rapid rate. P.S. Just call it an Alternate World War 2 Universe or something because technically, it's still WW2.

Quoting Stuart Lucas I really like the unusual design of this mech - kind of intimidating and a bit dorky at the same time, most appropriate for a mech from good old blighty (I'm British so I'm allowed to say that!) Also, from my one attempt a dieselpunk MOC I know its much less obvious how to proceed than, say, steampunk. But I think you've come up with really distinctive style, might well be worth creating a group for!
Thank you so much Stuart! Hahaha! Yeah this mech does look really dorky. :D I and several other friends are making a group right now for these kinds of Dieselpunk MOC's. The final version will be posted in the next few weeks. We are just working out the rules/story and the kinks. :)

Thanks Maxwell! Hmm, I'll look into calling it Alternate World War II. ;-)

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head Another cool mech, although this one looks a bit top heavy and unbalanced compared to the German one.
Thanks Kermunklin! Actually, I designed it to look like it was kind of a bang up and quick job. But I do agree that it does look unbalanced and top heavy!

Quoting The Royal Brick Very cool Mecha! I like the center and the feet of it as they have a very original design, but the legs look a little out of place and a bit flimsy. Anyway, nice MOC!
Thanks dude! I do think that the legs could use a bit of improvement as well. Thanks for the comment!
