RoV: The Fat Dragon Inn
What is RoV? Rangers of Vaelecore. Just a group of five people building cool stuff. No story or anything, no nothing really, just a build. Expect the occasional "RoV" with the title of some of my builds. Anyway, I (mostly) proudly present "The Fat Dragon Inn."
About this creation

An overview of the build. As you can see, I was scrounging near the top.

The flower lady.

The fish vendor.

Wow, talk about an odd couple. :P

An old guy walks into a bar...
Note my new (I think) siding technique. Not the one with the windows.

Also, you won't see better pictures of him because MOCpages.

The well.

A boy and his pig going to get their water.

Goblins.

Notice how everyone keeps such a wide berth.

The monk.

A craftswoman inspects her work.

The fruit stand.

Even woodsmen need their fruit.

A lone elf.

I really like the blacksmith stand.

Hmm, where have I seen this before?

Aha! That's where!

I like the chimney.

A halfling.

Just made this mosaic to liven up the wall.

The dormer.

So these signs that I designed didn't turn out quite how I wanted them. They went black and white during the decal process, but still look good.

Oh, noes, little Timmy fell in the well!

<><><>Interior<><><>

So, by the time I got to the upstairs, I had run out of bricks, so I made a tapestry.

A brawl downstairs. Look at the bartender and drunk guy now, because their pictures were blurry, so you won't see them till minifig shots.

Dwarves watching the fight.

Woah, sure you can eat all that chicken?

We cual heem- da man in da cuana. (corner) Points to whoever catches the reference.

The bedroom.

Proof that no wargs were harmed in the making of this creation.

In the attic, hiding bodies. Because what else do you do with attics?

The tapestry.

<><><>Figless<><><>

I believe I just took the title of best cheese rug maker in the universe.

<><><> Minifigures <><><>
.

Brawlers.

Dwarves.

Table guys.

Drunkard.

Staff.

Body hider.

Minotaur and village girl.

Monk.

Vendors.

Little Timmy and Marvin.

Goblins.

The woodsman.

Blacksmith.

Cheesemaker.

Swordsman.

Halfling and Elf.

My future LOM character.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Quoting Hildigrim Took Hi Micah! Have you ever gone to Brickcon? let me know, because I go and it might be cool to see/meet new people :)
I attended the BrickCon exhibition in 2012 and would like to attend this year. I don't think I'll attend the convention for a couple years, as the prices are extortionate for 14-15 year olds. I've attended BricksCascade in Portland though.

Wow, This looks great. I really like all of the minifigs. They got so much character. The roof looks pretty nice too. Greetz, Elio

This grabbed my attention! You've created an imaginative and intriguing atmosphere that hooks the viewer's interest (what with all the little vignettes depicting moments of everyday life throughout). While I think there are one or two spots that could be a bit more refined, the overall MOC is really quite excellent! Well done.

Quoting Mr. Cab Sweet build! Love the attention to detail and the tapestry. I like the rug, too... Although you're not quite the best rug maker yet. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2012/07/02/cheese-slope-mosaics-tutorial/
Oh, so close... Maybe. Sort of. Not at all. Oh, well.

Quoting Jacob M. Amazing! I love the well! How did make the smoke? Was the tapestry custom?
Thank you. I used Mirkwood spider webs for smoke and designed the tapestry in Adobe Illustrator.

Quoting Grant Davis Like it all, cheese rug could be snugger, doesn't mean it isn't great! Though it does use previously known shapes. Also not sure about the 8x8 on the top of the roof. Keep it up!
Yeah, the 8 x 8 was put on when it was one of my last plates left, and I really hate that part.

Wow, you sure pulled out all the stops for this one. That's an organ reference in case you didn't know. So many great details...nice to see the cheese maker again too. The A-frame style Inn is killer. I haven't seen exactly that before. I don't know what you used to make the tapestry, but it's great and has an awesome texture...and yes...that cheese rug!

Quoting Soccer Socks The cheese rug = jaw dropped, feelings of jealousy, and wondering how much time you have one your hands. Anyway, awesome build, but all the posing of minifigures adds so much more, how much patience did that take?
