LOM Quest - Battle of Zord
About this creation
The day had come...but it had come too soon!

(This event took place two weeks before Mythron reached Zorthan)

Darvainian gathered a few troops to journey with him to Zord to help the people flee before Mythron got there. All seemed well until an equally-sized group of Mythronian soldiers met the fleeing Nerogueians. Mythron sounded its war trumpet....it would only be a matter of time before the rest of the troops of Mythron would arrive....the small, scarcely-trained Nerogueian force would have to combat the Mythronians else the fleeing citizens would be overtaken by Mythron. All of the more formidable troops were headed towards Zorthan....

This can't be happening! How I have dreaded this day.... "TO ARMS MEN! FOR NEROGUE!"

The commander of the small, but much more fordable Mythronian force barked back, "You scoundrels! Today will be marked as the beginning of your rebellion's end."

And with that, the two sides charged.

Mythronian commander: "Make them pay!"

The Mythronian commander quickly rallied his horse and raced into the weakest part of Nerogue's forces and immediately started to cut down men.

The moment before the first blow Darvainian would ever deliver to Mythron...

For a brief moment that seemed like ages due to the slow movement and muffled shouts that were heard, Darvainian observed the scene....they had stalled Mythron long enough for the citizens to escape...but it was clear that victory was lost.

He saw the bravest of men fall, Darvainian didn't think Mythron would have been able to move so quickly....will it all end here?

"Is this all you've got, Darvainian?!" the raged commander taunted.

"See, your forces flee before you! Nerogue is nothing when faced with the might of Mythron!"

The commander did not know that Darvainian had signaled them to flee, but there was still one wishing to stay with Darvainian....

"Give up Darvainian...you and your Nerogue are finished."

The man who dared face a Mythronian general and five other Mythronian soldiers was suddenly knocked down out of the way of the general's thrust....

"You must run!" The man in the mask urged....and that's an order! So they both fled.

Meanwhile, Darvainian delivered a strong blow to the commander which knocked the commander backwards and quickly struck down the other Mythronian who was with him.

The commander got up ready to fight, but soon found himself unarmed and without a shield. He looked up into the fiery eyes of Darvainian who then spoke. Nerogue is not mine. It is the home of its citizens, and no one, no, no one, will make Nerogue fall. And you won't live to see Nerogue rise.

After commanding the five remaining troops to chase the masked man, the Mythronian general picked up a bow from one of the fallen Nerogueians and, seeing his commander in danger, quickly shot and arrow and ran towards him.

Luckily, the shot was poor, and Darvainian was able to quickly react to the shot in time to dodge the arrow.

Now Darvainian was faced with a Mythronian commander and general....Darvainian was about to speak when he heard another Mythronian horn and saw archers, pikemen, soldiers, and a few cavalry, racing towards him and the two generals.

Having mere seconds before Mythron's archers would be able to hit their mark, Darvainian fled...

I really enjoyed making this, the half-stud wooden offsets turned out really nice, and I like how the second floor expands by a half-plate relative to the first floor. Making the roof have the least amount of gaps possible was probably my hardest challenge, but I think it turned out great!

Hope you liked the action poses too, there were a few that I really enjoyed :)

To God be the glory!

Hey David, I just broke my homepage with a Nerogue banner and there is no longer a way to fix it or add new creations. Could you help me with that?

Incredible! The whole thing was just amazing! Although what you portrayed wasn't what would be the most appreciated, the way you did it was second to none! Keep it up!

@david. You guys were helping us fend off the outlaws back then:P Very nice build other David, but as I was saying on the Flickr, and think the rocks could use a little work. Maybe smooth them out, or just try to create a more streamlined shape.

I just noticed the spilled barrel of olive cheese. Very nice! I have a question on my UC. Should there be victory over Mythron? I really want there to be victory, but there have been so many losses. Many of our troops are inexperienced. I may have Daniel capture their general...Have an answer? Thanks!

Definitely one of my favorites from you. The house is spectacular, and the landscaping matches it, great job! I might say that the rockwork is a bit week, but other then that, this is epic! I, too, like your army. I plan on assembling one eventually, but that won't be for a little while. :)

Quoting Caleb Walker Fantastic job! I especially like the roof of the house! Sad story though... What will happen to us if we loose...?
We've only lost a battle, but the war has not yet been won ;)
Quoting The Dunedain98 Splendid work David! The foliage really nice and the path is very well done! My favorite part though is definitely the roof, great texturing! Since the roof had so much detail the building looks a like it needs a little more in between the beams of the house. Other than that I really like it!
Thanks a bunch man, that roof did take quite a while to get right! Eh, I like the tan sections better without texture.
Quoting Mathieu Dupre Beautiful!
Quoting Stephan Niehoff A great building with a very nice architecture. Wonderful work my friend.
Thanks a ton Mathieu and Stephan!
Quoting cyberfrank 2010 ha, ha, epic! and I loved the action pics!
Thank you! :D
Quoting Mr. Cab A medieval house big enough to actually have more than two rooms. :P You don't see that very often. I love the path, and the building looks fabulous.
Haha, exactly! It also means no more pieces for a nice interior, but yeah ;) Thanks man!

Quoting David FNJ Thanks Armon! If I added texture then it would ruin the look and feel I wanted to get from this build. And yes, that one Mythronian general who picked up the bow towards the end is very familiar ;)
Well, that explains things. xD But I think I'll reference that guy whenever anyone wants to build a flesh Cazzmir. It looks like a pretty good match. ;P

Quoting Armon Russ That's some very nice foliage. I love the landscape and patches of sand green. The house is really cool, and I especially like the roof, though the rest could use some texture. I'm jealous of all your soldiers. :P Oh, and that one archer looks very familiar. Coincidence, I suppose? ;P
