It would be any castaway's lucky day if he landed on this island. Not only does it have buried treasure, but it has a great view too!
About this creation
This creation was inspired by a LEGO piece I found at a park, a treasure chest. I also was testing out some rock work and found some I liked. So I put it together to make this! The funny thing is though is that the raft took me the longest time to build out of the whole thing. The water isn't so great, but that's a result of only about 8 trans-dark blue studs, 4 trans-light blue studs, and 33 clear studs. I used the awesome tree technique once again!
Thanks for looking, and God bless! Please tell my what you think. Now onto building my Narnia creation!
You've got a great story behind this creation, and the fact that you included the piece you found makes it all the better. The subtle shadowing on this creation really adds to the adventuresome and mysterious feel. Fortune and glory for the castaway; great work! :-)
The word that best describes this build would probably be something like awesincrediterrifabulous. Or something ;) The forced perspective is the best that I've ever seen, that and the tree, the rock work, the terrain detail, etc, etc, etc... Wow. You're making leaps and bounds towards Lego professionalism :D You are truly an inspiration. I'm getting back on the ol' Lego pile on the morrow (thanks for galvanizing me)! God bless and keep, ~Promar~
A very cool scene! NPU with the sail on that raft, too! And I'm loving the rockwork. Looks like the only thing that needs work here might be the blend between tan and dark tan on that sand. It looks ok the way it is, but it could be better. But that tree. I'm totally going to have to use that design. It's so awesome. :O And also, this is unrelated, but has anyone ever suggested you join LOM? I was just wondering since you have some very nice medieval builds, but I'm guessing you just don't feel like joining, which is fine. I'm just curious. ;P
