I built a pair of very cartoony robot emergency rescue characters: a fireman and a nurse. Quite different from my usual style, but fun builds nevertheless.
I used five of the mystery pieces: a Duplo fire hydrant, a trash can, ice cream, mudguards, and a cat (unikitty) tail.
The parts I used in the fireman. I counted 42. I used a pretty eclectic mix of parts on this character including Duplo, Bionicle, and Jack Stone pieces.
The parts from the nurse. I counted there to be 100.
First, sorry that I'm 2 weeks late but as promised, here's my comment! I literally laughed at my computer when these guys appeared on my screen! Just the use of the fire hydrant should award you a special prize :-) The cat tail is also a cute addition. That being said, I would have liked to see more innovative techniques and perhaps more details ; after all, you had 60 parts left! Not that I judge a moc by its number of parts, but they looked a bit simple to me. But regardless of the ranking, this a truly fun build and I concur to what Matt said about a product-based childrenís show! Great job here, hope to see you next year!

Just plain fun! I love the thematic tie-in they possess and can envision an entire, completely annoying, product-based childrenís show about them and their wacky antics as they teach us about the letter 8 and the number K. IN SONG AND DANCE!!! Cue the six foot tall eggplant. XD Two plus two is B, two plus two is B. gak. ;) These rascals are hilarious and kudos for taking on the Hydrant, thatís just insanity. But I see it as the impetus for the overall design of the characters and I applaud the creative process, you nailed it! Awesome!
Holy shiblank! You used the hydrant! What?! That Unikitty tail bothers me a bit. It feels really out there, even for an out there MOC. These are pretty fun figures though, and I feel you probably have the best parts usage on these guys. System? Duplo? Bionicle? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3sOuEv0E2I

It's a mystery how you could have so much mystery pieces, Aaron?! ;) No, that's a fine couple you send into race...
Hehe, I actually had some of all eight of the mystery pieces, although not all of them in useful colors. And I didn't even realize I had them all at first. These aren't the parts refer to frequently. XD
