Fourth Wall Commentary:
So I've been (since February) doing the Artist Way program. For those of you who don't know, The Artist's Way is a Spiritual Path To Higher Creativity, it's a self-help book by American author Julia Cameron. In my morning Pages I've been discussing having an Artist Date where I start building something and try and finish it by the end of my Artist Date and today I finally had the chance to have that Artist Date. So this MOC was a result of my Artist Child wanting me to build something. It did take 3 hours rather then my normal 2 hour long Artist Date time periods, but heck I don't care, it was well worth it, my Artist Child is really happy now :) So yeah one of my fastest builds and yeah fairly proud of it :)
Also if you have done the Artist Way before, let me know, if not I highly highly recommend you try it! So very helpful!
i like the colors but this almost exactly resembles a v-wing from star wars! make those dark blue slab pieces rotate up about 45 degrees and it is exact. and the hatch for cockpit entrance... R2D2-well? thats exactly where an R2 droid would go on a v-wing too!
still a great creation, just noticed these things quickly. 4/5
It's not bad, and for something built in a few hours it's nice enough, but the engines are blocky, that plate over the canopy looks odd, the balance between studs and smooth surfaces is odd, and the proportions of those engines is a bit odd compared to the nose cone. It's good, but it feels a bit half-done.
Nice! Cool that you were able to build this in a couple of hours. I start building a ship midway. then give up. Cool color scheme too, when I make my ships unfortunately I don't have any funky colored windshield 90's space pieces to liven it up.
Thanks you two :) and Miko I've deleted your comment twice now, please don't use this MOC as a way to advertise a contest. If you're going to comment please let it be about this MOC. There are other ways to advertise a contest, here is not that place.
I never got a TIE Advanced vibe until you said something. Actually, I get more of a Sith Infiltrator vibe. And that fin thing in the front. Uhhhh... Small air intake for engine-y stuff in lower atmospheres. D E R P
I LOVE everything about this but the raised fin on the front. Since the rest of the dark blue is either completely flat or domed, it kind of breaks up the aesthetic. Maybe a slightly domed piece, or bunch of pieces. Or even a dark blue air intake.
She's a beaut' of a ship. And I don't really think the raised nose would matter in hyperspace, fits in with the rest of the front anyway. Glad you stretched some creative muscles during the build, that's always a blessing!
