ZET D-5 (MAN 33.422 special tow truck)
About this creation
A minifig scale version of the truck I built in 2011/2012, built for my motorized City diorama and for a contest in LUG Kockice.

For pictures of the real truck please click the link above.

Let's go for a 360° tour...

The stickers are cut from the 7992 sticker sheet (holding on to that one for eight years finally paid off).

Unfortunately, the big brother has long been disassembled so there will be no comparison pictures.

There is no licence plate in the front because it just made the grille look ugly.

Let's go for another 360° tour, from a bit higher angle.

I'll probably replace that printed windscreen...

And now finally - the functions.

ZET D-5 (MAN 33.422 special tow truck)

The winches all work - hooray! However, there are no buses or trams to tow just yet...
(The boom extends by one stud more, but... Oh, well.)

The cabin holds a bald minifig but only on the driver's seat because I had to leave room for the lights' cable under the passenger seat.

The double knobs will be replaced as soon as I get my hands on a pair of those 1x3x2 doors in blue (very rare)...

Here you can see the connection point for the roof lights. That will connect to a cable coming from the sidewalk in the diorama.

And one last picture...

Bye-bye!

Yes, I no longer have hair. (Had to shave to fit inside the truck. :P)

Thanks for visiting!

Here's a 360°animated GIF...

Brilliant looking tow truck! Thought it was a diecast model at first. Love all the great details. I like the imprinted front windshield, that's funny. By the way congratulations on being blogged by the Lego car blog! It's well deserved!

Quoting Gabor Horvath This is great! I remember the bigger one. Don't you plan to take a picture, which shows this one, the bigger one and the real together? :)
Thanks. Unfortunately the big one was disassembled a year or two ago but I do plan to take this one to ZET's garage. :)
