As the rules state the moc can be changed almost entirely and remain the same entry I've replaced my original competition entry with this update. Soundwave certainly got buff. The new figure keeps the head design, aspects of the shoulders, the same basic concept and aspects of the transformation. But the chest, legs, solar reflectors, weapons and forearms are a total new build.
Knees (and elbows) may get additional armour to disguise the t joint and look less fragile. - done. As of 18 June
Shoulder canon to be added, could be a minion. - redesigned main gun and added shoulder weapon 17 June.
At least one minion, currently working on a larger laserbeak capable of perching on the forearm (note a female connector is exposed on the outer joint that could fit a stud) - one so far, more to follow assuming I have time. Added 18 June
Some gaps are visible in the upper body, these need fixing - done 17 June.
Need to make alt mode more stable, possibly having stud connectors on torso - not done, however leg and arm positioning changed in newer images. 18 June
Before the contest closes I'd also like to get some images in better poses, - see van damme poses above. 17 June
Find a way of positioning the antenna better, - done added 17 June
Designing a few minions. - one so far 18 June.
Considering all that might take a few days I imagine Shockwave might not happen this month.... We shall see. - still no shockwave 19 June.

I like the MOC but feel like the satellite mode is a little to sqaureish I think it would work better if it was a little loner and tube like.
Anyways good luck with the contest! :)
I checked out a few images of actual NASA probes and there are quite a few which are just boxes with ariels attached, but I get your point. The idea really was to design something that took visual ques from the G1 character while updating the alt mode.

Yep, the satellite mode is really cool .... and new I think. On his knees, it looks a bit unstable. As yet missing armor, a little as I have done at my Werwolf.
My thoughts too. Next step is to bulk them up without loosing the extra joint. Plus i'd like to make a way to lock the legs to the body and incorporate the minions. In robot mode the chest is entirely hollow so it could be possible to have minisat deployable minions. Just need to design them.....
