How to build an ineffective, differential-drive robot.
About this creation
In order for our students to better grasp essential concepts of mechanical engineering, we provide an example that is designed to fail.
Pioneer, named after Pioneer 1, sports an ineffective differential-drive chassis; indeed, despite its sleek appearance, it can barely even move. Our students, therefore, are tasked with discovering and solving the problems behind Pioneer's inefficiency.
Attached are full .ldr building instructions; note that all of the required LEGO elements are available in 31313.
