My mom and Kodi forced me to upload these even though it's not complete yet. First shown at Brickworld Chicago 2015. Part 2 will be revealed at Brickworld 2016 (hope you guys can wait another year!)
This build is based on the game Metroid Prime, one of my all-time favourite games as a kid. This is the semi-final battle with everyone's favourite asexual dragon Ridley (in metaform no less) atop the Chozo Artifact Temple that leads you to the conclusion of the game.
Here's a little close-up of the big purple meanie himself, Meta-Ridley. Reference.
Commentary from out-o-dis-galaxy:
Thanks Imagine for violently forc- I mean encouraging me to find a way to get Meta-Ridley to stand without the transparent supports.
Also, thanks Beyond the Brick for letting me ramble on a little about it. You guys are awesome, keep up the great work! Logo. Metroid, Samus and all related names, images, etc. are property of Nintendo Co., Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
Also, of course, to the amazing people I met at Brickworld, too numerous to name everyone, but Imma drop some big names like Chris "da boss" Phipson, The Amazing Matt Rowntree, Dave and Stacey "The Epics" Sterling(s), Mr. Dennis "You dang kids" Price, and Heath "Done it" Flor, Tyler "The Deathly Halliwell" and lots of others from the v-lug crew to name a few ;)
Jared, you've really outdone yourself with this one! Absolutely phenomenal build, in scale and design both. Impressive creature building techniques here, a very lifelike creation with lots of awesome details. The base is also incredible, the cobblestone type technique works very well at this scale and the blue accents are stunning. Hat's off!
No Way!!!!!THis is amazing. Your love and respect for this game is embodied in this moc. You have earned my respect. This game was the first console game I ever played and it holds so many good memories for me. Thank you for reminding me of my childhood. Also, this game had legitmate jumpscares that made my younger 13 year old self jump! I still hate space pirates to this day!You are now a favorite, period.
