"Spread your wings and fly away!"
About this creation
In the honour of the famous singer from whom is named the "Mercury" space program, this is Cape Mercury! Designed by his friend David Bowie.

The entrance tunnel, a screaming Freddie head...

A statue of one of his beloved cats (is it Delilah?) watch the trains passing by... Content Under Pressure!

The buildings : Assembly #1, Assembly #2 and tracking and communication centre, with its parabola upon a crown.

The observation bunker. You may have noticed the snow :-), this base is hidden somewhere in hostile territory in order to Fight From The Inside.

The take-off pad.

Rocket V-flyer type "Killer Queen", the "Bohemian Express" and the freight train and communication array.

A few shots:

With this MOC, Jimi expects to join the Princes Of The Universe, but first you have to Keep Yourself Alive...

Quoting David Roberts This spacebase looks like it would be great fun to play with. The crane and rail link are great but my favourite thing is the guitar shaped space-rocket. It has a very "Thunderbirds" feel to me. Excellent.
True that. Unfortunately, it's not very playable...

Yep, that complex is definitely 60's, with wide strip windows, isolated buildings and so on. The dish holder is maybe more 70's... Thanks my friend!
