About this creation

In a time of desperation and uncertainty, PUP makes a bold move. There is no time for pleasantries; business and decisive action are all that remains. This world is on the brink of self-destruction, with two-attack turns just past the horizon. Barricaded in by hostile forces, PUP launches the only direction there is left: up.

The possibility of building an empire to last a thousand years seems grim. In fact, the rumor has begun to circulate among the people that a second EMP weapon is waiting dormant, for a new world leader to reside a full year in office, before striking. No victory will last forever, no matter how strong the armies or how shrewd the leader. The Tootsie Confederacy's great and tasty leader knows this as well as anybody. A certain move, decisive action, that of international players working in a joint effort against their neighbors, is literally the only way to survive. And to do that, they must communicate. And to do so, they must build a rocket.

Enter Countertop Space Base, lovingly known by its personnel and staff as "Mars Bars Space Base" due to the high concentration of goods produced by Mars Inc. The base is an excitig step in the unorthodox direction, now producing edible, prefab buildings as well as more complex equipment including rocket hulls and observation equipment. Soon, these will be put to the test. TTC already looks forward to claiming double the points for each of its territories. With war all around, a no-bargain message is recieved from Eastern Eurasia.

The Tootsie Confederacy has been contacted by the great green force of the west. Papa Tequila is discontented. His roving, double-vision eyes see allies and enemies in the same haze, and the tequila in his veins encourages him to seek a new target. Knowing that this unsteady character may not last, TTC does something rash. Something random. They dissolve their peace treaty.

And as the peace treaty burns before both parties' eyes, they sign an oath over empty green bottles to watch the other. Very closely.

But TTC and PUP still have bigger problems to worry about. Next door are two ruthless competitors who are territory-hungry and ready to dine. What will PUP's next move be, now that they have the power of space beneath their fingertips?

Assembly, Launch, and Command play equally significant roles in providing space support for a nation.
Top left: Empty launch pad made of Licorice Sticks
Top right: Command center "Galaxy Bubbles bar" overseeing rocket launch
Bottom Left: Popsicle-stick built assembly building and dashed yellow frosting line leading to launch pad
Bottom Right: Assembly building interior includes ceiling-mounted thrusters, molten sugar furnace, and popsicle stick mill.

Space is full of adventure, but it is up to the people groundside to get them there.
Top left: Worker's mess: spilled Cadbury Egg
Top right: Rail yard and chocolate maintenance shed
Bottom Left: Satellite dish as ice cream sandwich
Bottom Right: Worker's barracks as Twix bar

Observation and defense are vital components of a succesful space program.
Top left: Drumstick observatory
Top right: Popsicle rocket on launch pad
Bottom Left: Mini Lollicopter
Bottom Right: Mini M&M Attack Interceptor

A place to store equipment such as fighters is an obvious necessity for a space base.
Notice that 3 M&M Attack Interceptors can fit within a single hangar.

Launch day is a spectacular hive of activity for the crewers of Countertop Base, but when the actual launching takes place everyone must go indoors. The heat wave is nearly enough to melt the hangar on the other side of the base.

Thank you! Our second launch was successful, and from our new vantage point in orbit we can see all across the world: your brown, a green terror in Asia, The maroon death crawling across Europe... Good luck to you as well!

Quoting David Roberts A great set of builds. I like the lettering on the Snickers bar too and the ice cream sandwich radar. The central observatory cornetto cone looks brilliant. Great fun and very unusual too.
I'd never heard cornetto used before. I may add that to my description. I'm happy you like it! The unusual theme is getting harder to stay original with each build, but I'm surviving. Barely. Have fun in AW7!

Quoting Clayton Marchetti I'll give you 5 smileys just for the Snikers bar! I love how you spelled it out in such a small space. I also love all your buildings being different chocolate bars. The Cadbury egg is really cool. I have to agree with the first comment this is making me hungry too! Brilliant work!
Thank you, Clayton! I thought about putting the Snickers up as a separate post. I might still do that. I'm really having fun with this sub-theme, and I'm happy you are too!
