Version 3 of my ALWP on my current frame design
About this creation
(Agile Long-range Weapon Platform)

Designed over the better period of a year the ALWPv3 stands as the current pinnacle of bipedal robot fighting machines. Equipped to fight in multiple combat situations, and come out on top every time.

My 3rd version to date. In the 4 years since I last posted, Iíve been in a dark age until about a year ago. I found some free time and space and dug out my collection. I also sorted my entire collection, and I wish I had done it sooner!

Some base stats
80 feet tall
Heavy Brawler armor
A spacious cockpit with multiple displays
Enhanced external targeting system with multiple spotlights

Available weapon systems

Integrated
8 dumbfire rockets
Rapid fire smoke/flare launcher
Two twin AP miniguns

Interchangeable
Heavy Minigun with ammo backpack
Quad shotgun
Two SSSs (Stabbing Sliding Sword/Shield)

Aside commentary on this design
The frame on this MOC is one I spent allot of time revising. What you didnít see from my previous generation was a weakness in the shoulders and tendency to catastrophically detonate at the slightest impact. Kinda funny if you thing about it. It made posing a nightmare and as my old light-box was kinda high the shrapnel would go everywhere. Though I did get really good at putting it back together.

Now the main torso is a solid chunk of reinforced, keyed ABS plastic. I integrated a technic beam into the main structure and then made everything interlocking so that it makes it much more rigid. Now it can hit the ground and remain roughly 90% intact. The armor plates that do fall off are disguised as ďplay features.Ē

My only issue so far is that I think I have reached the weight limit for these joints. This frame can stand on its own, but if I ever end up making a larger one I will need a new style of joints. Iím thinking about experimenting with worm gears.

Reference Material
Here is version 1, version 2, and the RFCSv2.7 which this draws heavily from with the design of the torso.

Awesome! That mech looks quite powerful. The stand is an excellent accent to the mech! I would suggest that you post fewer pictures.

Mostly system, with some technic thrown in. I think I have some pics of it on my Flickr. I for sure made a YouTube video for it.

Quoting Timothy Dillman I too, know the challenge of overweight mechs. I made one for a technic fig, it was huge! I'll try to get the pics on here soon.
Sounds cool, is it technic or system?
