About this creation

FORGET THE == RE-IMAGED BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ==.....

FORGET == CAPRICA == .........

FORGET == BLOOD AND CHROME ==........

FORGET == GALACTICA 1980 ==.........

FORGET == BATTLESTAR GALACTICA == THE START OF THE BEST SCIENCE FICTION EVER ..... SAYS ME ..

NOW WE GO BACK IN TIME TO WHERE THE IT ALL BEGAN....

WHERE THE QUESTIONS OF WHEN, WHERE, HOW AND WHY. COULD BE ANSWERED...

WHERE LIFE BEGAN........

BACK WHERE MEN WERE MEN AND TOASTERS WERE APPLIANCES WE COOKED OR BURNT OUR TOAST IN.....

WHERE AND WHEN THE FIRST BATTLESTAR WAS BUILT......

WELCOME TO THE OLDEST BATTLESTAR .......

WITH PERMISSION FROM THE DESIGNERS. THIS WILL HOPEFULLY BE A NEW MOVIE AND OR SERIES .... THIS IS THE NEWEST IN THE LINE FOR BATTLESTAR GALACTICA FANS ....

I ASKED IF I COULD BUILD THIS AMAZING BATTLESTAR OUT OF LEGO ..... WITH A YES, IT GOT BUILT.

THIS HOPEFUL MOVIE WILL TAKE US BACK TO WHEN THE CYLONS FIRST ATTACKED THE HUMANS.... THE HUMANS THEN BUILT THE PHOENIX ( ITS ONLY A TEMPORARY NAME UNTIL ALL BEGINS PRODUCTION)

IT BEGINS 1000 YARNS BEFORE THE ORIGINAL SERIES. THIS SERIES WILL REVEAL WHY THE COLONIES WERE FORMED.

WHY THE CYLONS BEGAN TO HATE HUMANS AND WANTED TO EXTERMINATE THEM,

WHY THEY ARE ROBOTS NOW,

LASTLY THE STORY OF THE FAMED MISSING THIRTEENTH TRIBE.

MODEL DIMENSIONS

1950mm Long X 750mm Wide X 290mm High

OR

76.7 Inches Long X 29.5 Inches Wide X 11.4 Inches High....

NO ELEMENT COUNT HAS BEEN DONE.... YET

THIS BEAST TOOK 156 HOURS TO CREATE AND ONLY OVER A PERIOD OF A MONTH.

THE MODEL THAT MAY GET USED IN THE MOVIE WILL BE 12 FOOT LONG AND MOSTLY VOID OF DETAIL, SMOOTH SKIN MAKING THIS LEGO BUILD LOOK TINY .... YES I WANTED DETAIL AND LOTS OF IT SO I APPLIED AND APPLIED TO MY HEARTS CONTENT.

THE DESIGNERS HAVE SINCE SEEING THIS BUILD ARE GOING TO CHANGE ASPECTS OF THE OVERALL DESIGN TO BEEF IT UP A BIT.... NOT IMPOSING ENOUGH......

WHEN I START BUILDING AGAIN THE NEXT BUILD WILL BE THE CYLON'S BASESTAR..

IT WILL BE HUGE

ALL IS STILL A CONCEPT ....... FINGERS CROSSED ...... IT WILL BE PRODUCED ....

IF YOUR CONFUSED NOW .......

IT'S BECAUSE I AM GOING CRAZY NOT BEING ABLE TO BUILD WITH MY BLOCKS AND CONTINUE CREATING .... THIS HOUSE RENOVATION COMES FIRST THIS TIME .... MY CONSTRUCTION ( LEGO ) ROOM IS LARGER AND MUCH BETTER FOR THIS NUT TO BUILD IN....

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING ...... LETS HOPE THIS BEGINNING OF THE SAGA GETS PRODUCED....

Quoting Richard Afol I am very impressed by your work and the time you have built it! I am relatively new at this. Started two years ago, my latest project was the Avengers Helicarrier, I was considering the Galactica for the next one but since looking at this one, I changed my mind. You did a wonderful job, very inspiring!
Richard please give your Battlestar a go. I hope you will build it heaps better than all of mine combined. Never let other people's builds stop you from creating or giving it a go. I look forward seeing your Wagon in the future MOC pages. Thank you for your kind words and build, build, build.

Quoting Tim C This thing deserves 100, so I'll hop in here and steal the honors. Hey, Garry. You ever thought about posting on Flickr. I know that you undoubtedly don't do this for the recognition, I just think there's another wing of this community that has never seen your stuff, (and I'd like to see you pop up on the blogs every once in a while).
Thank you Tim for the 100th like. I am glad that you had the honor and yes I have started posting these BSG models on Flickr. Yes it all done for the fun of building. sharing these builds with others is in the hope others will build bigger and better than myself. Keep up the great builds of yours.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Garry, are you a Cylon? No human could have the sheer skill and endurance to create such a masterpiece in one month. Truly, this is a phenomenal feat! Also, kudos on your interactions with the BSG team - very cool that they've altered the design after seeing your model. How you build such huge creations while maintaining a level of detail and elegance that goes beyond most anything else is beyond me. Thank you for sharing these photos with us, and all the best with your renovations.
YES Luke I am a CYLON. At times a defective one, I cannot upload to another body as the Resurrection ship was destroyed.... I am glad that you liked this build it was a fun one to do... More images soon. Cheers...

Quoting Stephan Schumann Exhilarating EPIC! Best Presentation, of your Best Battlestar! I like the way you achieved bigger- and smaller-scale structures at the same ship-hull ( e.g. the stripes at the hangar-bays compared to the nose-side-walls). The Engine-Thrusters look very likely, and the whole Front-Design-Shape is solved in an very highlevel result( I believe it's authentic). Excellent overwhelming-epic work, Garry!
Thank you Stephan for your very generous comment I am glad that you like this quick build. It was a fun one to do in such a short period of time. Keep up your brilliant LDD creations.

Quoting Tim C Really quite wonderful, Garry. It feels like the world is right with your monstrous SHIPs showing up on the pages again. This one that you bring us here feels like the culmination of more than a year's worth of idea backup. Love all the details and the fact that the only color other than lt bley shows up in the engine exhaust. It's a firm reminder of the original Galactica. Your shaping and detailing will always amaze me, but on this one, for some reason, it's those tilting cylindrical greebles near the rear of the ship that really grabbed my attention. They look so purposeful. Great work, as always, and simply wonderful to see you building again.
Thank you Tim for your very kind and generous praises for this build. The ship was built in July 2014 and edited this year while I am recovering from my operation once again. The designers of this ship did do a tremendous job on the design and for this I am honored to have built their first concept design. Now all to do is to complete this house and then start my lego addiction in February.... I am currently dismantling the Phoenix ready for sorting and counting the parts to give me an evening task. Cheers and keep up the brilliant creations of yours.

Quoting Christopher Buehner It was my understanding that the newest BSG-based project is not another pilot for a series that Universal will most-likely just 'pass on' anyway, but is actually a NEW MOVIE-TRILOGY that has been over a Decade in writing and tweaking. I really do hope that this 'Trilogy' gets the Green Light! I have read that it is allegedly going to 'connect' the Original 1970s version WITH The Re-Imagined version AND ALSO ADD a far greater Depth to the Overall-Grand-Mythos of the BSG Universe. There is to be a clearer explanation of why the phrase,"All this has happened before and All this will happen again" is so important to the 'realm' of BSG. Let's just hope Disney doesn't try to buy this property too. ***** 5 STARS, AWESOME!!!!! BEST Battlestar design EVER!! THANK YOU for building and for sharing this inspired and thrilling work of art... There should be a LEGO Museum and this talented folks such as yourself should get an entire wing in it. "...And The Brick Passion Continues..."
Thank you Christopher for your comment.. Yes many many concepts of BSG are out there and I would like them all to become movies or series spanning all the variations of who, what, when, where, how and whys.... Can't get enough and just think of all the variations of space ships that could be aired so I can create ..... So many now to create so I will be busy over decades to come. Hope I live that long to build them all. If not someone else can have the pleasure and build them better that me..Cheers

Second there working on a new series, that's fantastic! Which leads me to your most impressive work! The Battlestar Phoenix! It's absolutely brilliant I love those engines. I can't wait to see what the Vipers look like. Outstanding work!
Thank you Clayton for commenting on this build. Just a correction They are not copying any of my ideas they are changing their concept to beef it up so it looks better than this build. As a concept and the first one tweaking is part of the designing process... We can only hope that there will be a new movie or series, As the previous commentator said it takes quite some time for things to happen, if they do or not time will tell. I can have the pleasure and honor to build their first design concepts. Means it can only get better ... Cheers..

Quoting Mark Kelso Absolutely beautiful, Gary!! Perhaps my favorite design from anything you've produced. If you can spare the time and effort, I'm sure many of us would love to see some detailed images of the ship and it's incredible surface texture. But in the mean time, just absolutely brilliant work, bro - no one does it better!
Mark the real master of the best Lego builds I have ever seen.... You honor me again with your kind words. The building images will be uploaded soon.. No-one does it better except for you. As fast as it was built, it demanded nothing less than more detail. I had a time limit of a month as the next Lego exhibit was looming. The last show in July 2015 was its last as other exhibitors ripped into it to see how I built the inner super structure and how it could be carried without falling apart or even creaking while one person carried it. Always fun to do. Cheers and keep up your incredible builds...

Quoting matt rowntRee Splendid work! I love all the elements of design that harken back, or to the future in this case, of the original Galactica. The designers really thought out the progression. Hope the movie works out as the evolution of ships in this universe are truly appetizing. Can't wait for the basestar. And I can't wait for a more efficient Lego room to form as the potential for more brilliance from this universe in your hands comes to fruition. Outstanding!
Thank you Matt for your super comment. I do also hope that this will become a new movie or series. no matter what happens I have had the honor of building the first concept Battlestar.... Fingers crossed.

Thank you Mihe, Always good to get nice comments from a fellow BSG NUT..... Good fortune for Shiptember and get ripping into your next build. This build of mine got ripped apart by kids at the last exhibition I attended so they could see inside. So it is destined for the scrapyard, It still stands upright on the engines as a half eaten beast. Not very dignified... Keep up the great designing of your Battlewagon. Cheers
