I'm to tired to write much. Here's the linky to JLO. My awesome and mysterious opponent Mr. Unknown and his epic entry. I chose the scene where Pippin saves Gandalf's life and Gandalf says: "This is no place for a hobbit!"
"Men are flying from the walls and leaving them un-manned!"
Re-create the huge siege on Minas Tirith. It could be a super detailed miniature model, part of the city, or (if you're up to the challenge) a huge elaborate recreation of the white city. Whatever you do, your entry must show lots of action.
Sorry for the bad pics, I took them 2 hours after dusk with 2 crummy lamps. I hope to retake them sometime soon. Enjoy and good luck Mr. U!
Soli Deo Gloria!

After a long time thinking it over, I've made up my mind. Both of you have put up a tough fight and it'll be a pity to see one of you go. And these entries are great! Mr. Unknown, I love your walls and the landscaping was done very well. You also impressed me with your fantastic buildings inside and the brick-built troll. Very nice work. Thomas, your walls are fantastic. They curve just the right amount and make it look like if you built the rest of the wall it would be massive. Your siege tower turned out great too. Now for my decision. While I wish both of you could advance, My vote goes to Thomas' entry, which is both full of detail and action. Thanks for the great entries, Mr. Unknown! Hope to see you again next year! :)
This all works great together! The thingymajiggy, (I don't know what those things are called) looks great! The wall is a little boring, and the landscaping needs a little height, just a little, but the build still looks great!
Great entry! I really like what you got going here!
The landscape looks pretty welled done, a effective and accurate color palette. A tad bland in a few spots though, more texture and a few DBG studs would help. The seige tower looked phenomenal! I liked the dilapidated cruel look it has, very orc like. Maybe a tad over textured in some areas though. But I did love how you had the orcs rushing over the platform. The outer wall was very impressive! Texuring was perfect! And the curve was so flawless, and added a good dose of technicality! The Archetechural detail on it was well done and very accurate. Love the smooth clean SNOT up top. The action was well done. The back wall was well textured, not as exciting as the front.
This was a very close call, but in the end.
Thomas, you have my vote.
