After visiting Gringotts, Hagrid left Harry at Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. During his fitting, he came back holding two ice creams, showing he couldn't come in.

Madam Malkin had Harry get up on a stool to fit him for his new robes. An assistant was already helping a blond boy.
"Hogwarts, too?" he asked in a slow drawl.
"Mother's up looking at wands...."
After some conversation, the boy looked out the front window, "I say, look at that man!"
"That's Hagrid," he replied, seeing him holding some ice creams, and pleased to know something about Hogwarts the boy didn't.
"I've heard of him, he's a servant and sort of savage. I heard he tries to do magic and sets fire to his bed."
"I think he's brilliant," said Harry. Harry was liking this boy less with each comment.
"Why's he with you?" he asked. "Where are your parents?"
"They're dead." Harry replied, not wanting to go into the matter with this boy.
"Oh, sorry," he said, not sounding sorry at all.
A moment later, Madam Malkin was finished and Harry wasted no time leaving the shop.

Hagrid waited outside Madam Malkin's Robes shop, standing guard with his pink umbrella, as Harry, Ron and Hermione went inside to buy new robes.
Harry, Hermione, and Ron entered Madam Malkin's shop. She was already fitting someone.
Draco Malfoy looked around and saw them.
"If you're wondering what the smell is, a Mudblood just walked in."
"There's no call for that kind of language," said Madam Malkin.
Harry and Ron drew their wands.
"Don't," said Hermione quietly, "you'll be in such trouble."
"Yeah, right," said Draco, "as if you'd dare to do magic outside of school."
"Wands away," said Madam Malkin, but they kept their wands out. "Madam, please," she said to Draco's mother, Narcissa, who had just came around a display of robes.
"If you dare attack my son again, you will pay for it," she said.
"Going to get some Death Eater friends to do us in?" Harry replied.

NUTS AND BOLTS:
Months before I built this, I bought the Winter Village Post Office (10222), thinking I could use a Summer version for a Diagon Alley shop. But I found it was rather small and took it apart. Recently, I decided to rebuild it, this time at a height to match Ollivander's Wand Shop, and with another section of windows and roof. I felt the front windows were a good match for the robes shop, showing off a dummy in one and hats in the other.
I wanted to use dark green plates for the roof, but they're a little scarce and I am two short. Brown looks good with tan, so I went with that. Many of the builds and expert sets use tiles on the floor. I don't have a lot of tiles in colors outside of white, black and brown, but I gave it a try here.
I finally got a pale (non-yellow) face for Draco Malfoy. (Previously, I forgot to put it on my wanted list.)
I have put these all together to create DIAGON ALLEY!!!
Since my last picture here, I got a piece for a sign that looks like a cloak, and a round vent, but the vent sticker was put on crooked!
I haven't decided how to do the upstairs apartments for these builds. Maybe I'll do a bedroom in one, a bathroom in another, a kitchen in a third, etc.
I decided to use short legs for first- and second- year students (and younger). I happened to get some short cloaks at the same time as the other pieces I needed to complete this build.
Note (Sept.2015): After looking at the model for a month, the front upstairs looked a little bland from the outside. I added some depth, texture (palisades) and a little brown. I also removed the stripes, excepting medium blue. I didn't care for all the colors on the first floor, so replaced a lot with dark green. The above shot of Hagrid with his umbrella, is my 2nd version. The latest version can be seen in my Diagon Alley build.
