About this creation

The Battle of Greytree Village (Main)

August 7, 4 AU. On that day, the Battle of Greywood Village took place in a dark graveyard. The battle was remarkable, not because of the size, but because of the diversity of the combatants. Five different groups fought for control of the village - Mythronian soldiers, Ibers, Enalican dwarves, Orcs, and the Greywood Village soldiers.

As I walk toward it, the graveyard is filled with noise. Screams, battle cries, metal hitting metal, bodies falling to the ground. My timing is correct; the battle is raging, and I must enter it.

The words of an old nursery rhyme come to my mind as I watch the fight.

Mythron is the most dignified of the four; aristocracy is the heart of evil.

The Mythronians' attempt for conquest is pointless; Mythron won't be able to control one small village in eastern Rainos. So why are they fighting here? The only possible purpose could be destruction. But destruction is not dignified...

Enalica is the wealthiest of the four; greed yields destruction.

The dwarves, at least, have a motive; Greywood village is wealthy, and they want the gold for themselves.

The Outlaws are the most independent of the four; disunity leads to failure.

The orcs aren't fighting together; they ignore each other, even when their fellow orcs are being killed. And that is why they will not win the battle, despite their skills with raiding.

I begin to step forward again, walking into the battle.

Rainos is the greatest of the four; courage brings success.

And it is that courage that brings me the strength to do what I must.

The bright sun reflects off the blade of a Mythronian. With trembling feet, I walk closer to him, right as he swipes his blade at the dwarf he's fighting.

The Battle of Greytree Village (3)

The sword goes through my side. Blood trickles out of me as pain shoots through my body. I begin to wonder if I miscalculated my decision, but it is too late. I fall to the ground, and my vision goes black.

This was a very rushed build (built last month) for my Baron rank. Unfortunately it's not particularly interesting compared to my normal builds, but it still has its merits I guess; the coloring and texturing on the ground turned out quite well, and the minifigures are definitely better than my usual quality.

Quoting Kai Bernstein I'll be honest, it's fig-on-a-plate quality until you remove the figs. Then you see that the landscaping is fantastic. But this scene should have been inhabited by just one or two minifigs. three at the most. Also, the mood added with editing blots out a lot of its detailed splendor.
I know - I built this in two hours; can you tell? :P

Interesting. Not on par with your other stuff, as you said, but still very good. Not much more to be said, I guess. Keep it up!

Quoting jonnylegoboy911 . Interesting. Oh look, another person blacked out :P Seriously, does nobody else find it strange that people keep blacking out literally all the time in LOM? :P
Yeah, she definitely only blacked out after having a sword go through her body :P

This is actually a pretty good build! It's great actually. But it's not great compared to your other builds.

Quoting Gilbert Despathens Hahaha, welcome to my level: nice minifigures, quick and cheap building. It's hilarious to see something like this from you, but I am sorry for rubbing it in. I understand the process behind builds like this perfectly.
The nice minifigures is unusual from me, isn't it? :P I really should have done a microscale for this like in my May UC. Ground texturing like this takes way too long for the result you get - this build took me at least as long as that one, but that one was easily better.

Nice work! The Boss will reign! But will not his height bring him lower?

Quoting Brick Boy I fail to understand how anyone would call this a shabby or cheap build. If you would examine the bad aspects of this build, which I fail to see, it would be appreciated.
I think the problem with it isn't really the flaws, but more that it doesn't have anything all that special. If this was part of a larger creation with a more impressive focal point, then it would be great. As it is, for such a small MOC if's a bit too plain and simple, especially compared to the landscaping styles that I've used in similarly sized MOCs in the past. Thanks, though!

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Honestly expected better from you.
Of course, but for something that I had to build in a couple hours, I think it's not that bad.
