A stealthly, heaviliy armed gunship used to land troops in enemy forces, or behind them. Then it takes off for its secondary role of troop support.
About this creation
MANUFACTURER: GZXC Engineering
CREW: one pilot, one gunner, one optional second gunner
PASSENGERS: eight to ten troops and one commander
ARMAMENT: one tow cable launcher, one rapid-firing pulse cannon, one heavy sonic wave projecter turret, twin long range missile launchers, and two sets of wing-mounted BOLTCASTER-class bi-laser cannons
SHIELDS: Javion light protective shields
ROLE: landing craft/dropship . . . troop support
This multi-role gunship is a key factor in planning a battle. Scores of these Extremely Heavy Gunships take their payload of troops and equipment into or behind enemy lines. Then, they lift off with a considerably lighter hold. They proceed to wreak havoc with their well-balanced weapons.
While lasers can shoot straight fast, a slow missile can go around obstacles and a lot farther, with more destructive power. Missiles can be shot down or intercepted, while lasers can't, exept for shields. This type of gunship is a steath model, designed to deliver troops and heavy firepower with ease. While its element of suprise is far more valuable than any of its weapons, they are crucial. Each weapon has a purpose (otherwise they wouln't be on the ships). The rapid-firing gatling-style pulse cannon is used to clear a landing site of enemies, then is folded into the rear to land. Then, when the gunship takes off, it unfolds again. For troop support, it is the main weapon, as it swivels 360 degrees and is the only weapon that shoots down.
Unfortunatly, the pulse cannon is not very accurate, which led to the PRCIN-4279509, a gunship designed for precision strikes. That design replaced the pulse cannon with a long-range FIREBURST-class precision proton cannon, and the sonic turret was abandoned for a set of one of the most accurate lasers known, the AQUISITIOK cannon.
The power-draining sonic cannon turret is used mainly to wipe out massed pockets of enemy troops. It is also used to eliminate threats close by while the troops are disembarking. It fires a sonic wave capable of destroying a small walker with ease. Again, the sonic turret has a tendancy to kill friendly forces as well as enemy forces, so it is best used while flying overhead massed enemies.
The tow cable launcher's main use is airlifting small troop transports, and that led to the WKLFR-030725, a walker transport. The tow cable is a very useful gadget to have when faced with an AT-AT or something similar. One ELITE squadron actually fired the tow cable by their overpowered commander and airlifted her to the nearest command center.
The missile launchers are used for air-to-air combat, as well as to strike fixed targets. If loaded with a smaller rocket, they become the second most accurate weapon on the gunship, next to the bi-laser cannons.
The two sets of bi-laser cannons are the gunship's main weapons (it is tied with the pulse cannon). They deliver medium blasts with a steady firing time. They could be described as the gunship's MW (medium weapon), as they are accurate, too.
Another feature of the Rapid Response Steath Attack Gunship ZXOTEK-1507762 is its unique MSH (smoke/mist/haze) vents. Its exhaust is compressed and stored in a sealed compartment for later use, then when needed (usually while landing) it is released. The resulting MSH cloud hides troop movements and positions. Enemies hoping to get in a lucky shot into the MSH cloud are stopped from hitting their target because the shields are too strong. By the time that the smoke clears, the gunship is gone, and troops are already firing.
Without a doubt, this is one of GZXC Engineering's finest gunships.
This front view turned out a lot better than I had hoped. You can see the tow cable launcher, heavy sonic turret, and the extremely heavy long range rocket launcher (the long barreled black thing), and the medim bi-laser cannons (tip of wing). The medium/short range gatling-style pulse cannon is folded into the rear.
The rear, showing the engines, the MSH emmiters (right above the engines), and the lighter secondary thrust engines (the cylinder-like black things on the wings closest to the body).
The gunship just taking off from the ground to play its secontary role in harrasing the enemy. Here you can see the medium/short range gatling-style pulse cannon. One of the four barrels is glowing with the aftershock of firing for half a minute straight. The big gray piece is the armored protection for the gunship's radar, transmission, jammer, and many other useful instruments. --Unfortunately the cargo/bomb bay had to go because it made the gunship to bulky--
Here we see the not-so-secret compartment that on this model is used to seat the gunner. On other models it is used to carry extra cargo, and also can be used as a prison cell. the gunner controls the pulse cannon and if he chooses to, can control the sonic turret. He has a direct channel to the pilot, the troops inside, and the command center from which the gunship operates.
"MOVE SOLDIERS MOVE!" The view of the side of the gunship, showing the opening doors and removable top. Also, the symbol which adornes the sides of both doors and the tip of each wing is visible (it is the GZXC Engineering Symbol). The rocket launchers are clearer, too. The doorways are tall enough so a person/minifig can stand beneath them. There is a computer for debriefing the troops on fast missions, but it is at the rear of the troop compartment, and therefore not visible in this pic. The computer can also be used to program missiles and weapons sequences, and is sometimes used to control the bi-laser cannons or the sonic turret. You can also see the stabilising fin.
The wing armament, showing the symbol on the tip (just barely). The Gunship does not have landing gear, as the time it takes to unfold can cost the gunship a crucial hit. The gunship is flat, and is designed to minimise time spent on the ground.
"AAAAAHHHHHH! TAKE COVER!" Pulse cannons use a magnetic force to propel a laser bolt to greater speeds, but if used too much, may explode. The pulse cannon on this gunship usually unfolds to clear a landing spot to unload the troops. Some pulse cannons are nicknamed 'explosive lawnmowers' and they live up to their names.
A couple of soldiers ready to depart. The gunship can unload its troops in less than a minute. While using a jetpack to drop behind ememy lines is not reccomended, sometimes in a bad situation the doors can open and troops can fly out. On the ZYTOJ model, the troop compartment has four doors and more troops. You can see the commander of the ELITE squadron with his customised repeating rifle. All of the troops are radio-linked.
This pic brings out the unorthodox wing design, the cockpit detail, and the sonic turret.
Please-- I take your ratings and reviews VERY seriously, so please don't fool around
to answer your question: i say "see my stuff" cause i dont get so many reviews so then i tell people to see my stuff so i can get more reviews, and just so you know, if you rate my stuff good then i visit your site and rate your stuff good
This is an exellent dropship. I like the black, makes it look like a covert ship. It is easy to upload more than 7 pics to a page. When your finished uploading the first batch of pics, just click the Upload pics button again and get the next bunch of pics.
