I know in the last year, I've only been active for about the last 3 weeks. But today stands as my 6th year building on this site.
I joined on the 31st August 2009. However, recently I have been so busy with exams and work to upload but I will upload more! If you look around my homepage, you can find my 5 year Mociversary upload which goes through all of my past builds. Normally I would do another look back, which would include my work from this year. However as I have only done 3 episodes of The Insurgency since I have been back. I think this year I will do something a bit different. A tour of where I make my mocs.
This is my office. It is from this room where basically anything I make either on this site or anywhere else is made.
A quick look at my desk. Not the best of locations for creating, but that's because it is set up for editing and online radio broadcasts.
I recently sorted out and organised all my lego into tiny little boxes by colour and type. Just because I am boring and it makes building easier.
This is my current backdrop for my uploads. I used to have a small 3 sided micro-studio which slowly over the years became damaged and stained. So I have ordered a professional photography backdrop which hasn't arrived yet, so for now I use a sheet and a monopod. (Still have a lighting box though)
A look back at the cameras I have used over the years. I started of using the canon on the left which was used for the first 4 years, before I used my Iphone (taking the picture) before recently using my Fujifilm and my Nikon for recent and upcoming builds.
You may be asking, where have I been the last year. Three words: Exams, Editing and Nerdemic.
Nerdemic is my online radio show where If you like TV, Film, Anime, Comics, Cosplay, Video Games or any Nerdy Stuff, we're the show to listen to! You can find us on Youtube, YouNow, Facebook and Twitter.
Before I return back to building future Mocs, I must thank the people that over the years have inspired me and have been close to me.
Elite Captain Jelli: Has to be thanked as by meeting her is how I met Isaac and discovered the site.
C. Alexander Claay: Who has sadly become inactive but over the years, the two of us have worked on many projects and groups together.
Jedi Master Alex Stones: Another sadly inactive member, but Alex needs a big thanks as it was him that created The Sith Rebellion War, which gave me my first proper role as an admin of a large RPG like challenge project. It is one of my proudest moments on the site, so thanks Alex for choosing me to be your Evil Sith Emperor.
And Finally we get to the BIG TWO. These two are the guys that have been around influencing my time here more than anyone else and have become some of my best friends both on and off the site.
First, R.K.Blast: Blast was the main creator of the URS vs FIS series which is what about 55% of my builds and time on this site have been connected to. He is my strictest critic but that makes him my favorite as every time he comments on one of my builds with ways of remarks of how I can improve, I always read as if I was a film director reading the reviews of my most recent film. It is thanks to his guidance that I have become a stronger, more creative builder over the years so I have to thank him for that.
And most importantly, a massive thank you to Isaac AD. I met Isaac six years ago while on holiday and it is because of this meeting that I discovered this site. After keeping contact, we became close friends after that. It was Isaac who introduced me to Mocpages and I am forever thankful for that as it changed the last 6 years of life, it has made me explore the aspects of being a writer which as a film maker and performer has opened up more doors to me in a professional way. If Blast is my strictest critic then Isaac is my greatest as before, during and after an upload, him and I have conversations about plots, ideas, characters and other stuff that helps to mold together what becomes some of my greatest Mocs. He and I have many times have talked to each other about plots and creations not just on Mocpages but also in my film making career. He has been my mentor and pal on many occasions. Our chats are always funny and even if he wouldn't say it himself, he is one of the nicest people that I know and is one of my best friends. Thank you mate for introducing me to Mocpages and thanks for everything.
(The man behind it all)
Thank you for reading my 6th MOCiversary Celebration. Feel free to explore my page at look at the creations that I have built in the over half a decade, (espcially my current series of The Insurgency). Till next time. Stay nerdy people.
