And now taking on the classics!
About this creation
The Golden Hind was an English galleon best known for her circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake. She was originally known as Pelican, but was renamed by Drake mid-voyage in 1578, in honour of his patron, Sir Christopher Hatton, whose crest was a golden 'hind' (a female deer). Hatton was one of the principal sponsors of Drake's world voyage.

Quoting klarald B AWESOME!! i really like it, just the whole hull of the ship, it makes it complete! like it just can sail away any second. and all the detail, just lovely. you are one of the best ship builders i ever have seen. how much pieces does it have? and is it reallythat small? maybe you could add the lld file, that would be nice
Thanks. It was a really small ship. The finished model will have about 8500 pieces. Currently I’m not including the LDD files to my new posts, but you are very welcome to look at my older posts with including LDD files.

Quoting Stephan Schumann Ok, the picture has a bit of mistery, as the digital graphics are not that sharp...
I have added some additional shots. Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, an real classic historic Sailship! Stunning, overwhelming Great! Ok, the picture has a bit of mistery, as the digital graphics are not that sharp...Nevertheless your attempt of the Golden Hind looks very accurate in Shape, and coloursheme. I also like the authentic masts. As I started creating small sailships, I can guess, what great amount of will and creativness has to been put in such an project. Best wishes for making it real. Epic Work!

Quoting Gabor Pauler Cool. Does it have the scale the usual 1:40 ? I'm asking just because it looks rather small compared to your other 1:40 scaled models. Or the original vessel was just so small? Hard to believe that it circumnavigated the world.
Yep she was tiny. I actually chose her because she has the combination of being tiny and having some features that would be a real challenge.
