Pain.

That was the last thing I remembered. Overwhelming pain. But now, as I stared at the wood ceiling, the pain was just a memory. I was just starting to feel again.

The Black Panther, I remembered. That's who I had been dealing with. He'd said he killed my father.....but my Father was killed by Mythron! How could that be?

There's a mole...
I realized. Someone was selling out the Spy Council.

Jacob Edwards

As I stepped outside the Cabin, I realized I was back on Rainosian soil.

How long was I out for? I wondered idly.

"Max," I said, seeing the Spy Council member painting.

"Ah, Jonathan." He said, turning to face me. "There's something I must talk to you about-" But he got no further.

Lieutenant Jacob Edwards was moving toward me with a frown on his face. He opened his mouth to speak, but I stopped him.

"What were you doing, you murderous traitor?"
Jacob's eyes bulged. "You're one to talk!"

But before we got any further, Max interceded.

"Lay off, you two. I know how you were attacked, Jacob," Max said, forstalling Jacob's speech. "I know you're no traitor."

Suddenly my words seemed harsh.

"But Jonathan isn't the traitor ether. I found him almost bleed out on the road, it's a miracle he survived at all." Max looked at both of us, Jacob as he turned red, and me as I remained stoic. "Now, I want both of you to apologize, and shake hands."

As I started to reach my hand forward, something stopped me.

"Trust no one," My mentor had told me. "Make no friends."
"But I need friends," I had told him.
"No you don't," He told me. "You need discipline."

Every bit of training I had told me not to do it. I was suppose to be the shadow, never making friends, always hunting enemies. I could literally hear my mentor hiss, 'it's your destiny'.

Looking up, I reached out my hand.

"Sorry I accused you, Jacob Edwards," I said.
"And I'm sorry I thought worse of you, Jonathan Gideon."

I sighed in relief. The truth was, no matter how much discipline I had, I needed friends. I was decided.

I was my father, not my mentor.

The Overall build

Builder's notes:
Well, this is one of the most enjoyable builds I've made. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, But what do you guys think? Let me know below!

Author's notes:
Finally, I'm back to the revamp. I must say, I'm getting very motivated to start doing this full time....anyway, I'm decently satasfied with how the story turned out. But tell me your thoughts in the comments below!

For the praise of His glory!

Quoting Gilbert Despathens Those boots on the porch are a really nice touch, and one that I haven't seen before (go for Artificer rank!). Max's painter form is also excellent.
Thanks! I think I will. Glad you like the build!

Nicely done, man! Interesting way to bring the story along, but you did it well. Looking forward to seeing whatever comes next from you! Keep it up!

Quoting Reese Hawthorne Pretty nice build, Drew! However, I don't think that the silver on the ground turned out as well. Light or dark grey probably would have looked better.
Thanks! Yes, I wondered what people would think about that.....Thanks for the comment!
Quoting Ranger of the North Cool! Do my eyes deceive me, or do I see orc legs laying out on the porch?
They're suppose to be boots.....
Quoting Caleb Walker Fantastic job!
Thanks, Caleb!

Quoting Mr. Cab This is, surprisingly, fairly difficult to judge. On the one hand, Toa Jaton's build is much more recognizable due to the unique layout. On the other hand, Andrew's moc is much more refined. Although the lighting on Toa Jaton's moc is cool and the idea is novel, I feel that Drew's better use of colors and higher attention to detail makes for a more overall appealing Moc, and so Drew gets my vote.
Thanks, Cabbie!
Quoting Halhi 141 I guess I'll judge, and I'll vote for you - this is really well done. Great landscaping.
Thanks, Halhi!
Quoting Argo ~~ I loved this build The texturing is really great here, great attention to detail. The house was pretty cool too! Nice story, rpas the build up. overall great job, glad you're back to the re-vamp. ~Argo
Yes, I too loved the landscaping part. Thanks, Argo!
Quoting Toa Jaton Yep,this landscape beats mine, but still a nice MOC,and we will see how the scores go.
Indeed. Thanks for the comment!

Quoting ~ Adair ~ I think is one of my favorites from you yet. :)
Thanks so much, Joseph!
Quoting Armon Russ Sooo MOC-off judging . . . right. I have to say, Andrew's build is much more refined and well-built. Though Toa Jaton's is pretty unique in itself, it's not enough to win the MOC-off, I'm afraid. Andrew has my vote.
Thanks, Armon!
Quoting Mariner 1000 Very nice! I think I must have missed a build or story because I don't remember Jacob and Jonathon getting into a fight. I'll go back and look. :P
Thanks, Mariner!
Quoting Hildigrim Took Wow Nice Landscaping! :D
Thanks, Hildigrim!
Quoting Sam Jensen Cool!

Quoting Halhi 141 Great build!
Thanks, Halhi!
Quoting Armon Russ I think the shack thingy would've been much more realistic if the roof had been vertically tiled rather than horizontally. :P But that's a small thing. Nice work here!
Yeah, I probably should have done that....thanks, Armon!
Quoting Brick Wizard Nice job! But why are there minifig legs on the porch?
Thank you! They're suppose to be boots....
