LegoFormers Autobot Reformatted "Warpath"
Another re-imagined ldd design.
About this creation

This is my "reformatted" incarnation of Warpath. The original had an alt mode of an Earth tank, I decided for my version I'd make him a Cybertronian tank drone.

Features:

Fully transformable without parts swapping
Has joints at neck, shoulder, hip, waist, elbow, wrist, knee, toe and gun turret.
Gun can lift up and down, turret turns 360degrees
Unfortunately tracks are fixed

There are some elements I'm not sure worked out so well. I'd like to hide the head a little better. The arms aren't as posable as I wanted.

My plan is to widen the upper body from three wide to four, thus giving me a little more room to hide the face and maybe change the arm design.

I also have some ideas for retools and repaints as maybe Strika or even Megatron.

The objective was to create a tank transformer where the turret could actually turn. In the past I've found this difficult, especially integrating it into the robot design. Warpath was the obvious choice as the G1 version had the upper body as the turret, though obviously this was achieved differently.

Based on the feedback below, a version two is almost finished and will probably be uploaded before the end of the week, work permitting. Depending on the changes I have planned a retool as another character may also be uploaded shortly, depending on time.

I'd also like to make the tank mode look more "solid". Not sure how without some major retooling of the robot mode, but there are possibilities.

Quoting Stuart Lucas Nice, I always liked Warpath! Good re-design, I like the tank mode, which would also be really nice re-coloured as Strika. I agree with David tho ugh - the hip & waist joints look a bit skinny/fragile to me. Using Mixel ball joints would improve that, although it would disrupt your colourscheme a bit.
My updated version, which I'm hoping to find time to take and upload some images later today, uses a slightly different approach to the waist which will make it less fragile. But I'm also looking to design an entirely new build either today or tomorrow that hides the head better and gives more natural looking proportions. At the moment the arms look a little short to me.

Quoting David Roberts I like this one a lot but wonder if it could do with some stronger attachments between the tracks and the main body? Would Mixels ball joints do the job?
I'm already working on a new version which reinforces the existing joint, but it wouldn't be impossible to replace it with a mixel joint. The issue isn't the hip, but the knee in that scenario. I need to experiment.
